Yes this is a good idea. Course Discovery is paramount for this game I feel in it's future. Once you find good designers you can "bank" on having a great course to play by them. Not all are the same but you def. wont run into the pitfalls of some auto generated, can't putt, not visually stunning, terrible layout, wierd challenge golf courses...
I think game message would be appropriate. Once daily they could run a database query...if daily is too much weekly would work too...
