I'm working on my home course at the moment and have a question about what I should put around the rock that is acting as a retaining wall for one of the ponds. Should I add grass around the edge of the rock and fairway or some kind of plant?

If I can find where the heck my picture is stored from pressing F12 I'll attach it here...LOL

I made a deep pond, put rock around the inside face of the pond to act as a retaining wall. I was wondering if I should do any planting and if so what type around where the top of the retaining wall meets the fairway/rough.

Does that make more sense? LOL

I'd mix it up. Some grasses would be fine but use something from the "plants" tab here and there and a couple of the global plants as well. Who knows, maybe even get some lilly pad action in the water, a couple bushes growing at the base of the rocks... whatever makes ya happy!

As for screenshots, when you press F12 it'll save a steam screenshot. Don't use that one. If you hit "enter" or press" a" or "x" you'll take a screenshot. It will be saved...but crap if I can remember where at the moment. I think just in the main Golf Club installation directory.

Thanks Reeb, I'll do some planting here and there and see how it turns out.

I ended up redoing the rock and then did some planting around it. I've got to get a pic up of it.....grrrrr.....don't like the F12 pic.

Thought I would throw in some pictures of the course I'm working on. I'm showing the first three holes for now but will add more when I can. I still need to do some more planting and fixing the cart paths but the majority of the work is done.  This is the very first course I've done in GNCD and it's been fun so far. I have the entire 18 laid out and just about have the front 9 finished other than what I mentioned at the start of this paragraph.

Hole #1 Par 4 is a downhill then uphill short dogleg right. It's drivable in real lift if you can hit around 300. Wish you could hit farther drives in TGC then what they give you. There is a road to the left of the fairway that runs along it and to the clubhouse.

Hole #2 Par 5 is downhill with an uphill approach to the green. You have a big tree before the pond on the left that normally doesn't come into play depending on the wind. You should be able to hit driver off the tee and make it safely over the ponds but...............

Hole #3 Par 3 - slight downhill to the green with a pond hugging the green and a sandtrap to the right with a couple of big trees that can come into play.

Closer view of the Hole #3 green.

Here is a picture of the Front 9, hole #1 runs along the road to the clubhouse. Hole #9 come back towards the road and along side the driving range. I'm about completely done with the Front 9 other than a few more tweaks and a few more plants.

Hole #4 387 yard par 4 dogleg right...slight downhill then up to the green. Green is elevated with a steep dropoff on the right side.

Hole #5 402 yard par 4 dogleg left...slight downhill then up to the green.

Hole #6 331 yard par 4 dogleg left...another drivable one in real life but you have to watch out for all the bunkers. Hole #9 is to the right of #6.

Hole #7 348 yard par 4 dogleg right...has some trees in the way and a dropoff on the right side of the green.

Hole #8 210 yard par 3 downhill. Bunker on the left and grass bunker on the right.

Hole #9 557 yard par 5, pond in middle of fairway but doesn't really come into play in this game but can IRL, driving range on the left.
