JohnRC here.  It is important that we get folks linked up because the way the game only shows the live players on your friends list, from what I've been able to tell throughout the beta.  I hope today to at long last actually see another live ball in play.  I've seen them on the display as I've played the beta, but never seen any more action out of them than a marker that stays stagnant on the course.
