Heavy mounding behind 5 green and push the foliage back 12-15 feet.
will do. What should I set the fairway and green firmnesses to? green speeds?

Id say 3/4 to max fairways, greens 50%, speed max

Has to be play tested for the right run-out for the greens I think. For realism fastest speed is still too slow for any tour course.

But even average golfers can actually stop a 7 iron on a green - which doesn't happen in this game on firm/fast.

So you have to consider that.

Courses I claim in order of how I like em

Pacific Bluffs Golf Club
Soggy Bottom Golf Club
Old Beaver Creek (With Reebdoog)
Deliverance Golf Club
Semmock Golf Club
Oak National
Hanging Tree
Potrornak Links

Sure. Receptiveness and speed are two different variables in the real world. Here the receptiveness options are extremely coarse.

Sawgrass would probably not play well with firm greens.

Yep I agree, Sawgrass IMO needs to be setup as Job stated, keep it fairly receptive, med,med-firm(6/10) and yeah just max put the speed, I also think that most if not all courses need pretty maxed out fairway firmness just to get some correlation between in game physics and RL as the rollout is really not quite there but max firmness gets it a lot closer.

All the best with the recreation FB, looks great so far

Issue with firm fairways and fastest greens is the dreaded concrete fringe bounce.

If you wanna play that cute and cut it fine against the fringe then that's the gamble you take, no different to a run off behind the hole that you get to close too and roll away, its unfortunate that fringe reacts like a fairway and not a green though in game, maybe HB could look into changing this

Yeah - and a fringe surface that could be used with brushes would be perfect.

Yeah totally, they have us the option to set the width of fringe but IMO it's really just aesthetics in mind with the fringe behaving like fairway, may as well just add a fairway collar instead of widening the fring at the moment, if the fringe reacted like the green surface then adding a brush functionality to the fringe would be awesome, could make some devilish run offs and also create some great runups to the green that would be great for links courses, great thinking Rob, HB jump on it :)
