When Delta first came out everyone was complaining that the natural land areas were way too white and should be a more natural color.  Some said it was just a hair short of snow covered.....
I dubbed it "The Whiteness" back then.
Ah got it. I am putting the natural colors in the background instead of having a lot of natural color near the course. There is still plenty visible on the tees and I am leaving the PAR 3s a bit more open

It's your course and you can do whatever you want but that bottom pic... the green is way too small
I have added an extension to the green, but it's still a small green and for the most part, unreachable. I mean, by all means you can try...

Personally I like greens on Par 5's that aren't reachable in 2.  Eilean MacLeod (my latest) has 3 Par 5's that are just beyond the 2 shot range.  They are however able to be Eagled by a well placed pitch or chip shot.  To me that's a heck of a lot more rewarding than an easy putt for an Eagle.
It is your course, design it the way that you like it.  If others do as well, that's a bonus.  What matters is that you get the course you envision.

It's a very small extension and I was already thinking of doing it

Update: holes 7 and 8 are done. Should have 9 done tonight and then the F9 test by tomorrow. I'm on a groove, may just do it now lol.

I have just published the F9. It is called 'F9 Test 1'. If you search my name, which is the same as here, I don't have many published already so it will be an easy find. Just play the F9. Thanks in advance for all insight and help!

FYI... I haven't done a lot of planting yet, so holes like #9 may look a bit fugly right now, but I will fix it soon enough.

Update: I have just played my course and found that it is the only course named F9 Test 1. Lol. Anyway I have seen that the greens are a little bit too sloped in areas, and will fix accordingly. There are spots on the fairways that need flattening and little stuff. If there is any other things that I have missed in my first go please message here otherwise I'm heading on to construction on the back 9

You don't need to publish your course to test play it in "finished" conditions.  I realize that you can't get a true feel for it in the designer.  You can test play without publishing by going into offline mode from the main menu and then play>unpublished.
It sounds like you're doing a thorough job on your course.  Looking forward to playing it.  I'm in-between courses right now mulling over ideas and looking for inspiration.
Happy Creating !!!!   Dan

I was going to publish the F9 for extra insight. I actually had no clue that you could do it like that. Will use that in the future

I think some of the terrain between the tees and the fairways looks a bit bumpy - almost like ski moguls.  You want to go over those areas with the fuzzy brush and flatten them out just a bit to give it a better look.
TGC2 Courses:
Transylvania Municipal Golf Park
Glacier Meadow Par 3 Nine
Acacia National
Bearded Pelican Golf Links

TGC1 Courses:
The Golf Club at Hylan Park
Crescentic Bay Golf Course
La Playa Vacia Golf Retreat
El Toro Golf Club

I did see that too and I was wondering if it needed to be flattened out a bit. I will do so. Thanks man

After a day of testing the most obvious improvement is what I have done to change the green at hole 6.

It used to look like this:

And now looks like this:

Other changes have been made, as I made the hole 9 green bigger too.
