That looks nice.
Had friends recommend it to me because one said that hole was bland and the other said the green was small. Lol

I have started working on the 10th hole after I added a lot more water on the course. The front 9 now has some new water features (besides hole 9), although it is more for a less bland experience. More interesting views, not really meant to disturb the play of the existing holes. I also had to re-route the back 9 because I didn't really like it all too much before. Now it is a bit better. At this pace I should have the whole course done before I go back to school next weekend. Woot.

That's the beauty of the designer...... You can always change it.  It's never carved in stone until you publish.  Sounds like you're getting enjoyment out of creating it..... That's the point.  Design it the way you want it and then of others like it too.....that's a bonus  :D

I am having a lot more fun because my designer skills are finally adequate enough so that I can do the things I want to a course and make it look good. I originally had very few areas of succes.

Looking good.  Your retaining walls are a nice touch,  I just do not possess the patience for them.  I tried them a couple times and I could never get them the way I wanted.... So I ended up deleting them.  Natural shores for me.....  I like your use of the textures too.  I'm currently working on a course with a cityscape skyline, so I used them up there.  I wish HB would make it so that we can use more than 2 per course and also more than one cart path texture.....
I'm looking forward to playing your course.

I am going to plant heavily in those areas. I placed them down where there was a lot of auto generated shrubs already, less work later. Yes, retaining walls are tricky. I look forward to playing that course as well.

I think so too. It's got a certain feel to it, can't put my finger on it.

This is the best retaining wall I have put in so far:

I may actually have a Par 5 hole that I like, so far I have my likes and dislikes with certain aspects of the two other par 5s. This one is standing out already.
