pyates and I have spend a bit of time chatting about the 3-Hole Showcase Tours and we decided on a few changes:

• These will no longer be presented as design contests.  No more voting for your favorite course.  We really want to encourage new designers to participate and get valuable feedback.  More good designers means more quality courses for the community to enjoy!
• Better, more timely reviews.  The reviews have fallen to pyates to do by himself.  I'll be pitching in, but we'd like to get a few more folks involved to provide their reviews.
• Regular Twitch broadcasts.  Video is a great way to showcase the tours and provide specific tips to help designers improve.  I can try to do this but I run the game on low settings that won't do any course justice.  If someone wants to broadcast from PC, I'll be glad to tag along.

So, with all that in mind, we are looking for volunteers to help support these tours.  We are looking for folks to:

• Write reviews.
• Broadcast via Twitch/Youtube
• Retrieve leaderboard info (XBox, PS4, PC)

Just a reminder that I will be reviewing all courses that appear in the 3-Hole Showcase Touts when I play the Forum Designers' Tour events.  The only way to get on the FDT is to join the 3-Hole Showcase!

Just to follow up what Erixon has said, help is essential if we are to carry this on.  We'd really like a regular twitcher to host but otherwise whatever help we can get will be appreciated.  If you are able to offer 1 or 2 reviews a week on average that would really help

Designers: don't forget to submit your courses to the Showcase Tours!  So far, for the next showcase tour, we have the following courses:

Ruby Memorial by I-s-a-I-a-h-5-3
ThreePutt_63's Southern Comfort by nuter41
ICELANDIC REACH by aitchleague
Clifton Lakes Country Club by wagtunes

Ideally, we would like to include six courses for each tour so that golfers will be playing what equates to a full round.  If you're interested in adding your course to the showcase tours, all you need to do is to pick your favorite 3 holes and delete the rest of them.  Once you're done, let either pyates or me know and we'll add your course to the list.

There have been some amazing courses featured in past showcases, including Tye Dunes, Humboldt Bay, Glen Abbey and more!  This is a great way for designers to get feedback about their designs and compare for themselves how their courses stack up among others.

It's also a great event where players get a sampling of new courses and the conditions change quickly.  Who can make the best adjustments and climb atop the tour leaderboard?

I could possibly do a 3 hole preview of my upcoming course, I am toying with the possibility of pushing on and finishing the full course this weekend; I do have the Olympic design contest that I'm splitting my time between. I would prefer to include other designers though

I posted 44 points, which translates to -8 overall.  I don't remember the breakdown, although I made a very unexpected eagle at Clifton Lakes.  There are some really nice holes where the best shot off the tee isn't so obvious.

I'll try to get back on these courses and write up brief reviews.  If someone wants to chip in with some write-ups, that would be much appreciated.

I will have to take a second look at my score... I took the lead on PS4 a few days back but that was only out of 3 of us :-D.  I had a slow start as I was playing tired. I thought the courses were excellent. I've not played a Wagtunes course in a while, really enjoyed your 3 holes. Icelandic Reach stood out for me on first play, very unique look to it. Unfortunately might have to wait until winter but I hope it gets a tour stop assuming the rest of the course is as good.

Me and ErixonStone have split the last 6 evenly between us. I've replayed my 3 and made notes. Hopefully I'll get mine written up over the weekend. Would definitely appreciate some playthrough videos etc. In fact we could do with someone playing the whole tour which equates to just 18 holes? I believe seeing someone else play your course alone is a big draw for many designers.

Of course, we'd love to have your new course as well . Griff has published a 3 hole version of his... do we have any more for a next tour? I could add mine into the mix

One the other or both... If using twitch I believe there is an archive setting meaning people can catch up if they don't catch it live. I guess YouTube would be my preference due to its accessibility

Cheers Griff. Yes please we really need courses.  That goes for any designers out there.

As for reviews, I'd like to encourage as many people to review these courses as possible so any help would be most welcome. If you play one you fancy reviewing at any point then go ahead
