“Not only is it a much more tactile and immersive experience, now the player is also able to freely explore all the fantastic courses and environments which users have created since the original launch of the game.”

Does this mean you can walk the course?!

Yes! You can explore the whole 2km sq world.
You do it by pointing and moving where you want to go. It's been cool exploring courses you play and know well and looking at them from different places.

I went to the top of the massive hill at the start of Hoodoo Hills the other day and just looked down on the course. It was breath taking

That is the coolest thing I have ever heard.

All we need now is 3-click integration with TGC VR for full immersion.

Don't really have in the excess of £750.00 for a pair of goggles   .... is it really worth it or just another gimmick

and the name of the CEO of HB studios  'Alan Bunker'  .. is that a coincidence or a in house joke   [ no offence ]     :)

Let me tell you, I was very skeptical of VR in the beginning, but I swear, I stepped in and after 10 seconds i'm completely 100% for it. It's no gimmick, it's really really fun and mind-blowing how it feels being in the game. If you ever get a chance to try it, do not skip that opportunity. You will be convinced!

Also very funny observation haha

So is it an actual golf motion swing (a la playstation move) or do you still swing using the existing controller/mouse method?

Also, seeing as the game has now been adapted in this way, will playstation VR be supported as well?

Please tell us that was tongue in cheek.....I can't think of anything other than hole direction signs and empty carts that would spoil "immersion" more than a 3-click interface.....

I am surprised, as I think I am the demographic center for golf games and I have no interest to have to get up and move around to play, and for those who do, wouldn't they have a golf simulator already!

Very interested to see if this brings in measurable amounts of VR golfers.

Now sittiing in my recliner, with my VR goggles and a hotas in one hand, is a different matter, but still just a bit to much cost for me.

Mental note to self, get over to Best Buy and try out their VR set ups.

Ha! Of course it was. Although I do love my 3-click. Definitely not for VR though.

man, i would love to get this,  but that $800 price tag on the VR may end up being the deal breaker.
