man, i would love to get this,  but that $800 price tag on the VR may end up being the deal breaker.

Your courses look sweet in it mate.
I was taking a walk around Habor Island Gold the other day, lovely course. I even stood in the Gazebo

If we have TGC already, will we have to pay again for this version? $800 is alot to spend, but hell I spent almost that much the other day for a new EVGA GTX 1080......if it is as good as advertised and it appears the swing is what you make out of it with the Vive controller, then gameplay could be a whole new ball game. Is that an accurate assessment? Any chance this would come to TGC2 as well because that might make the entry fee a bit more palatable.....

I've never really seen the appeal of VR... until now.  I'm now almost too curious NOT to try it!

I can't see a return on this one HB..........I'll go out on a limb & predict 1000 units total.

Is it worth it?

The bigger opportunity is probably PlayStation VR as hardware volumes will (I expect) be much higher.  So long as this can be retooled to work on the playstation with VR/move, it could have decent potential.

I can see ppl who don't usually play golf or golf games buying this for their VR just to experience it.

Now on the other hand, you could ask is steams VR going to do well considering its competition
i will....

Yeah, if it can be made to work on PSVR then this could be huge. The Playstation market is the biggest for TGC I understand.

I know that the PS4 is limited with processing power, so a game like TGC might struggle?

I've actually ordered a PSVR, this would be my dream game to play on it. Please HB, tell us that it's possible?  :)

If not, then I'm going to have to start saving up!  :D

We had it running on PSVR back in 2014, before we went early access. The problem is, it's a little slow. But we're definitely trying it on the new hardware

Wow, what a quick reply!

Thanks for the answer Anthony, you guys at HB are fantastic  :)

I'd definitely be tempted to upgrade to a Pro if it were possible to run TGC VR on that. I'm tempted to get a Pro anyway if there is a noticeable difference in the quality of VR.

Here's an article about it
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.vrfocus.com

But we're concentrating on the Vive for now, see how well it goes down and then build from there. Small steps, like all things TGC hahaha
