TGC VR and TGC2 are different titles and will not be compatible with each other.

The Golf Club VR is currently set to release with HTC Vive support on Steam only. We are not opposed to looking at other VR hardware but have not taken the time to investigate them yet.

Not to stray off topic but there does seem to be a lot of VR games in a lot of forums I haunt.

Hmmm, maybe I can get the in-laws to buy for their kids and I can go play over their house... lol

The downside is they can send me home when they want to play...  :(

You should really experience VR for yourself. Watching someone else play on a screen or even mixed reality is completely different from what you get in the headset yourself. With that said, we have played a couple "bigger" titles here in VR that made us all feel ill. The problem is some companies are deciding to drop a VR camera on their 3d person experiences without any thought, this causes a lot of issues with motion sickness and peoples perspective of VR. It hurts teams like ours as well when we're putting the effort in to tailor TGC1 for VR rather than putting the camera in there and calling it a day.

I hope you have the opportunity to try a game that is built for the experience.

You make some compelling arguments for VR for TGC 1. However, the current entry fee is rather steep and I would feel more comfortable knowing that TGC2 would be released with a VR version sometime after the base game releases next year.

Wish places like American Top Golf would set something like this up better than just pinging balls at targets.

Shaun, do you or anyone else tuned into this discussion know of a retailer in North America where one can demo an HTC Vive?  I know you're in Canada, are there retailers in your area who have demo units?  I'm in South Carolina, about 25 miles south of Charlotte, NC.  I haven't seen the Vive for sale in the stores near me, let alone a demo unit.

Have a look at this JC

That's a start... thanks!  I'm surprised that Microsoft only has a store in Durham, NC, and not one in Charlotte!?  The UNCC meetup event schedule may eventually line up with my work schedule, but it depends on the theme of that day's meetup event whether I'd want to go or not.  I'm really only curious in gaming applications at this point.

Does anyone's Best Buy sell, let alone demonstrate the HTC Vive?
