I have 4 Atmos speakers in my ceiling.  They are in-wall/ceiling speakers and it was done professionally so I am not too concerned they are going to fall on my head.   

O K so I need to suck it up and either hire someone or purchase the front speakers that bounce atmos for a 5.1.2 setup

I'm just thinking due to Xbox one supporting this....maybe it comes for games and I'd love the overhead while golfing.  Just realistic plane or blimp flying overhead as well as birds would be incredible

I am have the 5 1 2 set up. The front right, front left, center and back right back left are all mounted on the walls. Then I have two tower speakers on the floor below the mounted tv.

Sorry maybe I'm misunderstanding but

1- FR (maybe u mean surround R)
1- FL (maybe u mean surround L)
1- Center
1- BR
1- BL
2- Tower (should be FR and FL)

*This would be considered 7.1 (not really but kinda as FR and FL should be the towers )

So I'm thinking it's not two literally above your seating area which is a different speaker for Dolby atmos

Mine were done in a new build which I would imagine is much easier than fitting them into an existing ceiling.

The black mount in the top right is for the Atmos speaker

Well dang it my wife is not going for that unless I have something more aesthetically pleasing built in

Yes it a 5 speaker surround sound system with two tower speakers on the floor with the sub in the back. I do not have atmos speakers. 

For what I have now and this receiver is the best set up I have ever had. Very pleased with it.

Not many game developers going all out to push HDR maybe for the reasons Kieth mentioned earlier.
In my experience with 4K & HDR the latter has the biggest impact but only on games with a suitable colour range.
I think if it was applied to a golf game it would look amazing.

Yea it is confusing.

So after more time with this new setup I can confirm when I have the Xbox s on 4K UHD tgc definitely looks better. Most noticeable are the tree leafs. They look less jagged and brighter.   Seems to run smoother as well. I did try v sync and lol it still causes the game to freeze up and I get bad lag. Funny thing is I was getting two flags on the hole. Weird...

BF1 does look a little brighter but the game looks really good anyways so hard to tell. They are supposed to update it to handle HDR so when that happens I will see how it looks and runs.

So far very happy with how everything has turned out . I put a lot of time and money into it and it has paid off.

So I updated my Netflix account so I can get 4K and it does look very good. Sounds better to but that might be my new receiver. They do not have much out for 4K though.

Really? When I search for it there was only one page for 4K. Maybe I am missing something?

Lots of my favorite TV shows are there in 4K and some movies.
