The ONLY reason me and my fellow TGC associates have stayed away from Wye Valley is because of the amount of coins each tournament is worth. I understand only doing an entry fee of 50 coins, but the tournaments need to be more. Lets be honest, unless you buy clothes and different club heads every day, everyone in the TGC community has built up a surplus of coins. Tournaments need to be atleast a 500 entry fee and quite a few people I play with would come contribute to this society.

I agree with this too.  I'd like the stakes to be higher but the reward to be higher than 150 coins on a 50 coin buy in.  For the record, I really enjoyed this society.  Well run.  I had to remove myself due to the "limit" of 5 societies joined, which I think is not even close to enough.  Will definitely consider going back though if the risk/reward increases.

I can't really understand what difference the coins make?

In a game where the only additional stuff like clothing etc costs money but makes no difference to the gaming experience it is really only a gesture.

Why stockpile money? What for I ask?

Also in some societies I see the same people keep winning because they are better at the game and I cannot see players paying 500 coins every competition to not finish in the top 10 as a lot of Societies do not even play handicapped events.

We will at The Wye Valley Golf Club try to keep it accessible and interesting for everyone, I have played some great societies that don not use coins at all and they work well, after all you can win 500 - 1000 coins each competition by just hitting the course challenges.

It's great we all have our own ideas and opinions and there are now hundreds of Societies out there for everyone.

I thank you for the comments its very welcomed.

Good points.  Like I said, you oversee a great society and I'll be back if some additional slots are provided to us by HB studios :)

alpeters59, the Par 3 was a tough one for sure and one I struggled on scoring a +7. Please do not judge us on just one competition, the Society really does have something for everyone, no competition will be the same, thanks for the looks good society comment :)

Here is what is on offer:

1) Competitions to play daily
2) We are now in our 3rd Season
3) Over 100 Members
4) Prize Money paid out for top ten finishes and Bonus Monies
5) Usually off the RED TEES, everyone gets a chance to score
6) Handicap & Non Handicap Competitions
7) A club where YOUR ideas count and ARE listened to
8) Par 3 Comps
9) 1, 2 & 4 Round Competitions Held
10) Major Competitions played on courses such as: Augusta & St Andrews
11) We have been a Society since DAY 1 with no downtime
12) Competitions scheduled in advance, you can check out and practice the up and coming courses.
13) A great mix of participants from all over the World.

Like the idea of 3 days for tournaments as I don't like to play the same course over and over. Have to agree the par 3 course was awful and no fun to play at all. Also agree that the entry fee should be a bit higher as we've all got loads of coins now haven't we? I mean I've got 35,000 in the bank and am level 10 for no reason at all really, I mean,  I don't host my own society,  playing the template is as boring as hell with official courses repeated over and over and I can't be bothered to set up my own as it's far to time consuming for no real benefit as far as I can see.
I mean what is the actual point of levelling up? I honestly don't get it and that was supposed to be one of the main selling points?
Anyway, don't mind making a coin donation of say 1000  if others do and  it actually makes any difference for you to level up the society.
