Set in the bottom of an abandoned quarry just outside Flagstaff, Arizona, Devon Quarry Country Club was the creative brainchild of many people who had a hand in the project’s development. There’s no doubt that the site preparation took more time and money than President and CEO Eric Nesbit had anticipated, but the extra investment in precisely routing the course through the remnants of hardworking days in the quarry gone by has the aesthetic appeal that he had always envisioned.

Golfers will be challenged on each hole, whether playing the course for the first time or the tenth, as sand and water lurk on nearly every shot. The conditions are very fair, with medium firmness in the fairways and on the greens, while featuring fast speeds on the putting surfaces, just as you’d expect for a golf course set in the desert, but players will recognize the enjoyably smooth, rolling undulations on the greens that made Nesbit Golf Management so popular at Overfield C.C. (TGC1) earlier this year.

That screen shot looks great, I'd love to see more, I'll just have to give it a play.

I like the look of the bunkering.

Thanks! I tried something with the bunkering on this course that you won't see a lot, so it's definitely unique. I hope you like it if you get a chance to play the course.

This course looked fantastic.  I hacked my way around it but will have to give it another shot when I'm not in so much of a rush and take my time with my shots.

Love this course. Shot 69 my first go around... got a little greedy with a few shots and paid the price!

Thank you. I spent many, many hours on sculpting, so it's always nice when someone notices. I hope you enjoy your round.
