Well until they fix the legacy issue i've started Bethpage State Park its a hometown course that ive played several times and have a lot of info, im gonna do the 2009 version with hosted the U.S. Open that year so it will be a par 70 it will have firm greens since firm plays so much better and green speeds around 170 , if and when they fix the legacy issue then i will finish Quail hollow and port copperhead and RTJ golf club but for now it the black course pics will follow when i start getting it sculpted in have front nine laid out to a tee starting back nine now

The US Open was in 09 and Bethpage has very flat easy greens that are never "firm"

If they were you couldn't play the course

I was just there last week - they putted slower than my home greens.  I caddied for a player in that open and they were a little faster but not much.  The greens are never going to be the defense at Bethpage.

Courses I claim in order of how I like em

Pacific Bluffs Golf Club
Soggy Bottom Golf Club
Old Beaver Creek (With Reebdoog)
Deliverance Golf Club
Semmock Golf Club
Oak National
Hanging Tree
Potrornak Links

yeah i know how the greens are there and it really depends on the summer they are having too, you catch it late summer and they play really different then early summer when the the open plays , but yes early in the year with a lot of rain during the early summer late spring and they will play slow and not all the greens are flat and i have straka line too for the greens, i just love how firm plays in this game  and 170 is IMO is perfect , basically i want the par 70 version which will add another long par 4 to make it a little tougher.  the length ,elevation and what i consider narrow fairways are what makes this course tough , havent played since the early 2000s and thats the last time i was able to play golf since my accident, the par 3 8th was really tough green and i always hated the 18th green also, but yeah the player will be rewarded for good shots here , you were there in 2009 because that year it rained the entire time too

Excellent to course to recreate. I started this on tgc1 but left it due to lag in the country side theme.

The black course is one of my favourites. I designed the course for Links with my fellow Danish friend Göran Mentzer near 2005 I think. I had a kind fellow which sent me a video tape of a walk-through of the course to make the Links2003 version and I can say I know almost each acre of the landscape as it was then. It should have change since that time.

The greatest compliment I've had for a real course recreation is when a regular player of the course hooked on the 15th tee and found his ball lying just under a bird house that I planted at the exact point where he regularly hooked his ball in real life...

15 is known as Cardiac Hill and there are some locals who don't play it or 16 they just sit on 17 tee while their buddies play it.  The caddies don't go up it they hand the player a putter, wedge, driver then stay down below and cross over to 16 through the fescue.

Here's my pic of 15 from last week... the camera does not do the elevation justice.  My buddy who hits it farther than anyone I've ever seen hit it to 6 feet from over there left  :)

15 was tough but 16 if you hit it straight you can hit it a long way down that hill , its has to be like a 60 ft drop

Played 1 round there and another on the red

Had not played Red previously, was really disappointed.  At $90 for out of towners, it's almost larceny.  That's a $35 golf course where I'm from.

yeah thats new york for you it was cheap back in the day before the open made it famous red is the next longest course at the park , i believe the first time our dad took my brother and I it was the blue course but i know it was cheap back then , after the open,  it made the park a tourist attraction , i remember my best friend telling that you had to wait on line outside just to play it after the first open  ::), back then we walked the course too
