My second course (probably not going to finish my first... maybe eventually). This is a delta theme course on an island. Laid out the cart paths last night and started some work sculpting the cliff on 16 (it's the last photo here, let me know how you think it's shaping up). I still have to do all the planting, in particular around the various shallow pools, which I'm going to plant heavily in order to give it a swampy look. Still also have to do the small-scale contouring of most of the fairways as well as most of the greens, plus the whole clubhouse area, and fix a few fairway bunkers to have a proper amount of rough (I've already done that on the 5th hole below), and, y'know, this that and the other thing. But here's the basic look with the trees up and the lighting set and copious amounts of fog (again, swampy).
In order, these are the 1st, 5th, 6th, 11th, 12th, and 16th. Haven't included a photo of 18 yet, since I have to do all the clubhouse stuff and fix the cliffs there, but it's in some ways a mirror of the first hole, a par 4 with a bay to the left that can be crossed by a long driver, but where the first hole starts on the coast and goes down and in, the 18th climbs along the cliffs to the clubhouse.
Oh, and yes, there are plenty of holes without as much water (although even on many of those if you stray too far from the fairly wide and forgiving fairways, you can end up in a bog), these are just the best looking holes at the moment. Also the fog looks better when it's drifting around and the light is shimmering through it.
