Started working on a new course after the designer crashes frustrated me into publishing my last course (Lightning Bay Golf Resort, go play it).

I'm making this one a desert themed course since I love the look of them. So far I've gotten 18 holes laid out and I'm about halfways down with putting down the fairways, bunkers, tees, and greens at this point. There's still a lot of work left to be done with sculpturing and planting, but wanted to share a few pictures of the work in progress. Especially now that I figured out how to format the screenshots. Hope you guys like it!

It's looking very nice Bino.  I usually wait to do major planting until last and then hopscotch around the course so I don't end up with naked looking holes.

Thanks! That's a good piece of advice about the planting. I went nuts with the multi plant tool trying to put down tall grass everywhere on my last course, hole-by-hole, as I went along. I learned the hard way that it completely slows down the designer.

Update on progress...

At this point I have all 18 holes laid out tee to green - 4 sets of tees and 4 sets of pin. Tees range from about 7200 yards from the tips, down to around 6000 from the forward tees.

I've done a lot of sculpting around the greens and bunkers. There are also a few cliffs and a lot of rock formations throughout the course, plus three man-made irrigation ponds. Cart paths are laid down and I'm going to start playtesting before I do all the major planting.

The screenshot below is the 15th hole before I placed the cart path and I cleaned up the edges of the rough.

Looking good.  As you're planting, make ita point to save more often.
