What frustrates me is back in 2004 I was playing Links 2004 (greatest golf game) and they had stroke play, match, nassau, skins, stablefold, best ball, alternate shot all in 1 game and it worked beautifully. 13 years later with all the advanced technology we only have stroke play and match play if it works. How is it that we have gone backwards? TGC2 we have coins but yet we can't play skins?

100% in agreement. I would love to know what went on in the devs team's heads.  :-\
Shame Links never got made backwardly compatible. (I still have my copy kept in the vain hope!)
Never been more disappointed in a follow up game, ever. TGC1 showed so much promise.

yes  lets play some team events, and you will see more people buying this game as long as you keep it set as stroke play there will be less interest in people wanting to play.

Links 2004, I believe by XSN sports...........for the XBOX.  What an awesome game that was!!!!!!

I think 2k bought the rights to the second links game that almost made it to light then, never did anything with it.  of course we all know EA holds the PGA license and they're not doing anything with that either.  maybe that's why links2 didn't come out.  they couldn't get the courses they wanted or pros.  from what I read about it , it was very good and almost published.
Created RCR Courses:
Links at Lighthouse Sound

#37 Toughest Course in U.S.- Golf Digest

Had nothing to do with EA having the exclusive PGA TOUR license.

Had everything to do with Microsoft finally getting EA Sports on Xbox Live, IIRC.

Lobby doesnt matter - multiplayer modes and tournament options do.
