This made me realize that having sod wall objects would be an easy way to quickly transform the designer for links courses.

Just a couple pieces would do the trick and we could fit them together.

Im redesigning my Iona links course at the moment, will check out your revetted faces and try them out if that is OK? Ive tried a few methods in the past but they all take so long and look a bit odd. Artic made one with steps looked pretty good.

Try it out.  Start by making your bunker faces as steep as the designer will allow.

Looks like we have 17 entries in the contest.  My goal is to play 4 courses each stream with one day playing a 5th.  That should cover all 17.  I will try to do this over the course of this week and next week.

1st stream will be today at 3:30pm EST.  I am hoping to do another stream on Wed at the same time.   I will just go right down the list in the first post of this thread.

Hey Keith, saw your putting struggles this afternoon.   One thing I noticed is that, since you don't use the putting marker, you don't have any way to find the exact elevation change of putts that have a change of 6 inches or more.  On the second hole, you had 21 feet to the cup and it was downhill "1 FT".  That could be anywhere between 6 and 17 inches downhill.
TGC2 Courses:
Transylvania Municipal Golf Park
Glacier Meadow Par 3 Nine
Acacia National
Bearded Pelican Golf Links

TGC1 Courses:
The Golf Club at Hylan Park
Crescentic Bay Golf Course
La Playa Vacia Golf Retreat
El Toro Golf Club

I don't use the putting marker either. Does the marker prevent you from banging 20 foot putts 25 feet past the hole?  8)

No, but it helps you decide if the slope is steep enough to just tap that 12 foot putt or give it a bit more push.  The difference is 25 feet past the hole or just 4 feet past if you miss.
How did I make a twelve on a par five hole? It's simple - I missed a four foot putt for an eleven.

Just watched the replay of the stream.  Keith, couldn't believe you almost aced the hardest hole.

I love how quickly these par 3 courses can be played. Makes it easy to get to know them and want to try for lower scores.  Ie good replay value.

Just to explain the manitou tees. The course plays similar distance over the 4 tees, but each tee provides for completely different looks and distances for each hole. Just something different.

True, but I just like the clean look of no putting marker.   Plus I enjoy the challenge.
