On today's Beat the Dev stream, Royce made the suggestion of another HB design contest.  He is right, we need to get one going!  There are a crazy amount of really good courses coming out lately and I can only imagine the quality of the courses submitted for a design contest.    With a bit of chatter during the stream, we came up with the thought that it will be a 9 hole contest of all par 3 holes.

I will work on trying to get a prize for the winner.  I think at minimum we can award coins and hopefully make the winning course an HB Official Course.  Stay tuned on that front.

So let's get sign ups going.  At the time of signing up, please post if you think the end of 2017 is too soon for course submissions.  There is no deadline date set in stone at the moment.  I will update this post with sign ups.  I am thinking the first 20 to sign up are in.  As soon as your name is transferred to this post, feel free to start working on your course.

And just like that, I am afraid I am going to have to withdraw do to a family crisis that will take me away from much free time to design.  My Father-in-law passed away @ the age of 95.  I cannot justify spending time away from "the family" for these next few weeks, especially as my wife will be the hardest hit by this ... next to her mother.  As they were married since 1950 ... and I have been treated like a son, for 28 of those years ...

So unless things go smoother than I suspect, I will let my spot go ... as I don't know how much effort I will be able to apply.


I am sure that 20 slots can be filled rapidly.
