Standard clubs was a bad idea. No casual player wants to hit it 250 off the tee...

Just wait for the response should use the forward tees.....

A course of mine on xbox thankful anybody plays it,but i want players to enjoy them,Red tees forward/blue tees back how can anybody enjoy 31 over,17 over and others just get par.really has learned me a lesson looking at scores each day and keeping track.

because 100 are really good at this game.....shame 1000's are missing out on a casual game of golf.

I agree.  This is why we need difficulty levels.  Let the casual guy bomb it 300 yards down the fairway but just make it easier for them to score low.  Everyone should be able to enjoy the game in the way that works best for them.

I applaud HB's efforts at the whole one difficulty concept but it's time for a change to a trick that's worked for everyone sense the dawn of video games... difficulty levels.

Totally agree with this,it needs about 10 levels with player clubs as they are now at about level 6 or 7[this is how i play] before anyone jumps in.

Agreed, a proper “Golf god mode” for the casual players would help the game for sure. With separate leaderboards, of course.

Personally I want the opposite, a good representation of high level Golf.

Not everyone wants a more difficult level for the same reason. Some want a more realistic game, so it better simulates real golf. And others just want it because it thins out the field, instead of having 200 people that can shoot -15 most times, you now only have 50 or what ever.

Dont see how thinning out the field would be in anyones interest, if they stop to think about it.

When a game is only hard enough that more people then not are good at it, many lose interest. It is kind of like playing checkers, there is very little challenge to it so everyone is good and most lose interest. But move up to chess and the field thins out because its more challenging, and people are less likely to lose interest.

True but if the competitive field grows too small people also lose interest.

Wouldn’t say TGC2 is checkers, TGC1 was.

It was just an example, and the competitive field would grow smaller that's the point. When you have levels of difficulty, each person can pick what best suits them.

I support multiple difficulty levels.  I was originally thinking the current difficulty level would be the hardest, but maybe the current level could be the mid-level and one more and one less difficult added.  This could give the super pros something and widen the games appeal to a much broader audience by making the game more accessible to the casual player.
As others have said, you could actually create a higher difficulty level by tweaking or eliminating some of the shot helper tools in the game.  Just need a button to toggle them off, still takes work, but less than programming an entirely new difficulty level.  Maybe over time get some of this.  The new relationship with the PGA should strengthen the company's commitment to the market for a golf game.
