What a joke this course is, I don't think there is a single fairway visible from the tee. And when you do hit a good shot your next is blocked by trees.
This is the first course I have played based on your recommendations, I hope the others are better

If you read the original post,it clearly states that not everyone will like the courses I recommend

This thread has been created to showcase designers and their courses .... not to please certain individuals

Anyway , another one for the list .. Royal Albion GC .. this in the links theme

Course management vital on this course as you will walk into it's many traps ... like I did

Tough as old boots  ... and in my opinion deserves more plays

Played Baron Hills.Nice course. It was fairly open with nice width fairways. Toughest part was the greens. They were tricky at times but fair.
Another good choice.

I was told to give you kudos Stan by my group. They are enjoying for the most part your choices we've played.

This course .. Berwick Upon Tweed has narrow fairways and some tricky greens

But it's a lovely looking course ... and in my opinion deserves more plays

Tough and tight. Little dark in spots but overall I liked the course a lot.

That was a tough one indeed. We played Pin #1 and a few of those cups were in ridiculous spots.

Until my next review  ... here's a couple of newly released courses to look at ..

1. Pineview Down

2. Pine Valley Golf Tournament  [ not to be confused with the original Pine Valley .. they are not related ]

Both very nice courses imo

We played Pineview Down. Nice course.Had some holes where you had to make a choice on where to best hit it.Greens were not too tricky even thought I missed a bunch of putts.
One thing I didn't like is having to lay-up on Par 5's.It happened I think on at least 2 and maybe 3 of the par 5's.You may not have had to from the front tees but we don't play them.
The last thing was #18 should have been a par 5 not a par 4,or the layout needs changing. With the Fairway shaped like it is and the trees on the left you don't have much chance of making Birdie there. It's a tough par at best.
