I can't play with the Xbox One controller either. In my experience the thumb sticks are way too loose and sensitive for TGC2. I'm used to playing with Xbox 360 controller and the thumb sticks are way sturdier and stiffer. I hit 90% perfect tempo with the 360 controller and mostly straight, using Player clubs. With the Xbox One controller my tempo is all over the place and I can't seem to find a way to get straight-ish shots. I used it for a week or two and I couldn't find a way to be even moderately consistent. TGC2 has ZERO forgiveness for any inaccurate motion making it very difficult to use the Xbox One controller. There's nothing wrong with the controller, it's just a very bad fit for TGC2 in my honest opinion. I just picked up a new 360 controller yesterday as my old one broke and I'm back to business!
Do you have one of those sticks that allows you to use a 360 controller on an XB1? I used to have one and it worked well.
I’m frustrated too, tempo on drives and putting. There is nothing to help you with distances. I either hit the ball too hard or not hard enough. The PGA Tour game has aides that you can turn on. This helps and makes the game much more enjoyable. I want a great golf game but if I don’t get any better I will give it up.
What, what, what? But the Sim guys say the game is too easy! Say it isn't so?Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
Here is the way I cured my tempo issues - download a Metronome app to your phone, set it to 67 bpm, hit the driving range, and hit shots on the beat. It worked for me, it’s worth a try.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
