The Open Society 2.0 is a Level 10 TGC2 Golf Society now in our 3rd Full season and we are still running 2 round 2 day tournaments, 4 round 4 day (PGA's & Majors) and 1 round 1 day (Special) Events. We play MOSTLY H/C Rated Courses (with H/C Setting ON) and we have over 120 members, including many "Senior" players (50+). We are currently using +12 as the maximum H/C so all members have a chance to compete and/or enjoy the game. We also manage a Private Xbox One Club for our Society members named "The Open Society TGC2 Golf Club". Society Members can request membership (or will be invited by an admin) after joining our Society. We plan to continue scheduling events until the release of TGC 2019 so feel free to join us, ask questions here or contact us via the Xbox messaging service if interested. My G/T is "METHUZELAH"

Only Society Members can request membership (or will be invited by an admin) after joining our Society. Also, we plan to continue scheduling events until (and possibly after) the release of TGC 2019 so feel free to join the Society or ask questions (here or via the Xbox messaging service) if interested. Note For Active Players: While we all wait for the release of TGC 2019, we continue to run 1, 2, 3 and 4 round (PGA's & Majors) and we also manage a Private Xbox One Club (The Open Society TGC2 Golf Club) which is available for Society members Only (current and future). You're welcome! We are still looking for new members and still scheduling tournaments through August so thank you for the mention on the forum. Send me a party invite anytime you happen to see me online or in the game. I always enjoy meeting one of our members and hope to see you on the course some time. Also, we will be opening another Society in the new game so join us there as well when/if you decide to download TGC 2019!

The Open Society 2.0 is still up and running on TGC 2 and we are now set up in TGC 2019. Hope you will join us and thank you in advance for your patience while we find our way around new menus/options, set up a great schedule of events, set parameters, etc.

For all members of our TGC Societies: While we are working on our TGC 2019 Society, we did not forget about our members in TGC 2 so there are new events lined up with BIG bonuses through mid September. We also want you to know that out TGC 2019 Society is now at 125 Members and counting... with some great events lined up already, including 4 round tournaments running simultaneous with upcoming PGA Tour Events/Venues. Currently there is No Fee to join, Purses are starting off at 75% and some even have Bonuses. Great participation already (60+ players in most recent tournament) so jump on in and check out our New and Improved Society (The Open Society 2.0) in The Golf Club 2019. If you are still interested in playing to COMPETE and still like the idea of participating in a Society, look no further. Join “The Open Society 2.0” (in TGC 2019) now, while we are still a Public Society with low entry fees. Sometime after the update/patch for Societies (still waiting), we will be changing our status while committing to the following:

•   Consistent 1, 2, 3 or 4 round events, scheduled in advance. (100s hosted in TGC2!)
•   Regular, ongoing, timely communication with members (already 500+)
•   A variety of tee positions, weather/wind conditions, etc. to keep things interesting
•   Best Courses (not just most popular) used in all events when available
•   Main events, Alternative events and a fair way to utilize HCPs (in some events, settings, etc.)
•   Reasonable entry fees with Big Purses and Bonuses
•   A Private Xbox Golf Club for active members to chat, post achievements/videos, etc.

Note: Our goal is to payout Society Bank (on an ongoing basis) not hoard it for any “Achievement” that might be offered in the game. We will maintain a reasonable balance, plan ahead and keep events exciting/fresh. If you would like to know more, check out our history of events on TGC2 and our new event schedule here in TGC 2019. This should give you a good feel for the way we approach the game/hosting a Society.

The developers have identified an issue with our society (and my guess is with others) which will be addressed in an upcoming patch. Until then they have forced our society season to end and have also temporarily hidden the stats for our previous season. They assured me they will unhide the stats once the patch goes live. I was also told I should should now be able to create events by starting with a new season schedule and get the society back to active. I will update this post again when I have a chance to log in and take a look later tonight.
