He said he was back at the start of the year but havent really seen anything surface from it. He was also talking about doing Muirfield, OH and Sheshan around the same time so hard to know tbh.

Last I spoke to Michael he was darn near complete on Bethpage, even planted out some holes to try to see if the "look" was right.  It will be an epic RCR as he knows that course like the back of his hand having lived near/played many times.

He and I are collaborating on Muirfield Village, I have the entire front 9 mapped out, textures fully laid for tees, fw, greens, bunker and water drawn in with a carth path surface for eventual sculpting.  I have not worked on it for a few months as I spend my summer walleye fishing at my cottage, but I plan on finishing the back 9 and handing off to Michael for sculpting for TCG2019.  MV has been a real challenge as the course does not fit properly on the TGC plot, I had to be very creative in going corner to corner to gain space, but all holes fit in relation to each other with some tee boxes backing up toward edge of plot.  Routing is 100% accurate.  Also will be a real chore with all the residential homes that populate the course along with a nightmare amount of water to sculpt in.  Hopefully some new tools in TGC2019 help the process.

I would not recommend doing it but i had to extend the plot at Royal troon 1st tee to 9th green over 2700 yards away,some of the plot moves if you import course back later,with a new game coming i think you maybe made right choice.

Yeah I didn't want to mess about with expanding the plot, not sure how that would translate when imported over to '19.  It was worth the effort to reposition the course corner to corner in order to preserve the proper routing.  Having done a few courses now I invest a lot of time upfront in locating each tee & green and laying out the routing for every hole before I lay any textures, makes it way easier to ensure proper position of each hole in relation to another.
