Before I commit to my next Open project, I could do with some feedback on my two current releases. Do players prefer Royal Liverpool Golf Club or the Hoylake 2014 version with the grandstands etc..?

I haven’t played either version yet in 2019 but I’m assuming Royal Liverpool GC is just the bare Course without the stands and Hoylake is the course with all the championship furniture in it. I like to play courses in there normal dress if you like but the addition of the stands and cameras are good as well. I played Hoylake in TGC2 and did enjoy it though so I think I will enjoy it in the new game as well.

To me i prefer the course as it is without the stands, when you think stands and crowds only really for society events.

Royal Liverpool Golf Course is set out obviously without all the Open infrastructure, but also with the members layout and tees. There’s also been a lot more planting and subtle sculpting added. The grandstands and camera towers looked great and add a unique Open feel, but they were very heavy on memory. If people aren’t keen on the tournament setup for future then I can concentrate on planting instead in upcoming projects I’m starting.

The tournament infrastructure is great but I do prefer to play a course in its natural setting. Could we play Royal Liverpool of the back tees or is it always going to be a slightly easier version.

Back tees are same distance as the Open version and the other three sets of tees each provide a very different challenge.

It plays really well - give it a go.

Just now playing Birkdale.  Had a good front nine but on the back nine I'm 3 putting most all of them.  It seems I just can't get this putting down.  Both of those courses are greatly appreciated, thanks for your work.

@@@Original Muirfield-The Hon company Pin2 Green 1 Green corrupted@@@@@ (maybe my fault)

Muirfield-Gullane

Course local wind in designer is South to get muirfield Experience.

Royal Birkdale open 2017
Pins are from the 2017 Open.
TGC1 course really starting to show its age now...

Jordan Speith position on the 13th 4th round 2017 open.

No idea on Turnberry going to import it and have look how it is,was going to spline the bunkers but again spline bunkers went backwards in tgc 2019.

Glad to see Birkdale make its reappearance, but the porting process seems to have affected the bunkers, giving them a very flat appearance and making the course play and feel different than the original. This happened with the courses I’ve ported and there is nothing you can do to stop it or even return them to their original state - frustrating!

HB urgently need to address bunkers in TGC19 designer and ported courses. They’re completely lifeless and unrealistic in their appearance.

Thanks for porting them.

It's the Splines somehow they have got worst i feel,Given up in the designer at moment with splines.

It's something to do with the lips i feel, but at the moment gone past the stage of caring.

Hopefully you care just enough to give us Turnberry.

I fully understand how Yeltzy is feeling. Over the weekend I started work on a new links course and spent a lot of time and effort painstakingly sculpting bunkers only to find they become lifeless sand patches when ported over to TGC19.

It’s very worrying to hear about passionate, experienced designers having so many problems and becoming disheartened to the point where they lose interest. It does make you think is it worth the effort.
