I know it was said that a number of courses were added to the que in addition to "official" courses, so here's my question - how much, if any, test playing did the HB staff take on themselves in selecting these courses? I'm curious, as the picture below is a pin on literally the first "new" course which I played via public matchmaking:

I won't lose sleep over this one, but I can imagine the frustration that average-joe-videogame-golfer will/may get when they try to get a ball to stop rolling around the pin after a good approach shot(red/yellow slopes near the pin not shown from this specific angle). Respectfully, it just seems like another in a history of curious decisions in this franchise's history - a small one, I grant you, but still one that made me think "huh?...why? And how?". Why this course, with this pin? Did no staff member test play first, or has there been an internal decision to toughen up gameplay through tricky courses? Just wondering...

No need to sugar coat it. That green is out of control. Is that an RCR?

I might be wrong here, but i feel the green speeds have slightly increased somehow, played Royce's augusta twice since the patch,i have hit putts which have gone way past more than before,so i reckon this course was fine pre patch.

Saying that i would have thought HB would have tested added matchmaking courses with this patch on another note.

We, at TGCTours asked the designer to make some changes before using this course on our Tour. This green was one of the major reasons.

That's a lot of yellow, especially at Moderate speed.
TGC2 Courses:
Transylvania Municipal Golf Park
Glacier Meadow Par 3 Nine
Acacia National
Bearded Pelican Golf Links

TGC1 Courses:
The Golf Club at Hylan Park
Crescentic Bay Golf Course
La Playa Vacia Golf Retreat
El Toro Golf Club

There are issues after publishing. That green was not like that before this last patch.
Now there are courses with a par 3 clich where the game puts you in the middle of nowhere
600 yards away from the green when teeing off. This is also happens in the designer when
play testing
Fairways Of Mt Garibaldi       Deerfoot Golf Club   Cats Paw
Whitefox Club                           Valley Glenn              LaSalle
Orchard Lake                            Oxford  Greens         Tanglewood
Ojibway Trail                             Tilbury Club               Gainey Ranch

The movement of tees has zero to do with the picture above, or green sculpting in general, please don't try to insinuate that this is something tied to a post-patch glitch.

Yes, random yellow lines can appear after a course is published, but again if that course was tested BEFORE being added, it's something that would have been noticed.

I just had to quit the game because I got stuck playing two of the most horrid courses I've ever seen. One was Gardens of Balor (back nine), which is a laughably bad course. However, compared to the second course, it was Augusta National. I can't remember the name of the course, but it was something like Waitgate Golf Club. This course "featured" lines of trees blocking approach shots from fairways and other inexplicable design flaws.

Look, I'm glad HB Studio added more courses. However, I was hoping they would add handicap-rated courses that they actually looked at. I'm sorry, but this is a complete joke.

Luckily, the guy I was playing against was very cool. We spend the entire last match pm'ing back and forth commenting on how awful the course was.

there are hundreds of good courses, it takes a bit of effort to find them, but they are there .

Oh, I agree. There are plenty of good courses. I'm talking about a couple of courses that were added to online matchmaking.

As an example, during one round my opponent sent me a message saying, "This course penalizes you for making a good shot". This was an understatement. There was one hole where there were tall trees blocking the entire fairway. You had perhaps a 5 yard window to get your ball through cleanly (from about 180 yards away). That same course had jagged edges all over the place. It was truly a bad course design, and had no place being on the online portion of a "PGA Tour" game.

There's another one called 'Pacific' something or another, I think.  Orchard Lake is in only one that has impressed me, but I was familiar with it from before and had favorited it.  The others really have me scratching my head ???

To me this is a massive mistake again from HB,i know the PGA brand is new to them, but for the next game i reckon they need to get at least 16 to 24 licensed courses or even make enquires on Real courses which have been made and see if they can get permission to use some.99% of players have no idea what a clubhouse looks like on a course or tee markers, just want to play a decent course they might have heard of.Something like the Sweetens cove course there Twitter account was retweeting stuff about there course being about to play in game,i wonder if a quick phone call or email or Tweet would get you places.

There damned if they do damned if they don't, I am sure they did the best they could. Everyone thinks they know better then the next guy, if I picked the courses for matchmaking they would all have good winds going, and 187 greens then people would be complaining about that.
