Well something works better on the Xbox for once! Course was a beast . Put up a 4 rounder in 4LW . I think the winning score was 7 over with some of the best sim players on Xbox .  4 and 12 just killed me.  Great course but after 4 rounds I will not miss it for a while lol.

Certainly a major course that is for sure.

This grass texture bug is extremely frustrating and a PITA.

After now having feedback from numerous people that have played the course on effectively every platform it can be played on.......so far it appears to be pretty random as to whether the proper grass textures show up or not.

Up to now I have had both yes and no replies on every platform including different spec PC's in terms of CPU and graphics card brands.

For now I'm just waiting on publishing another potentially "fixed" version that may not solve anything anyway.....

That is a shame imo.

I just tested it, and auto-gen grass or rocks also works to solve the issue on the 3d grass. You also don't have to turn the auto-gen slider up much at all, just a tiny fraction, and it is all good.

The whole problem for me at least is completely linked with auto-gen objects (trees, grass, plants or rocks) when all are turned down to zero. Just turn on one or all of them a bit, and it is all good. And, to turn on the auto-gen trees, and then remove the auto-gen trees takes no time at all, and it don't make any effect on any object, file size or memory meter. So I don't see any reason not to do so - as I am 100% certain this solve the issue completely for anyone who has the grass gone in the game. This is the same no matter if it is a real course or a fictional, if Chad's tool and lidar data has been used or not.

I most likely will publish it again after utilising one of your fixes, but there are a couple of things I noticed whilst watching Early1981's video playthrough that I want/need to fix first (if nothing else just to satisfy my own OCD :P ). Unfortunately for at least the next few days I am a bit busy with work etc so it will have to wait.

Whilst this grass bug is certainly frustrating and very strange (mostly because it seems to just happen completely randomly..... for example, I played 9 holes back to back last week - first 9 = 3D grass, 2nd 9 = no 3D grass ????), if I go just from the feedback I have received off other people, combined with what I have witnessed myself, up to now at least it looks like the 3D textures show up ok more often that they don't across all systems.

Yeah, it is a bit of a weird thing that this is inconsistent. My guess is that it has something to do with the graphic card and the engine someway, but very hard to know. I am also surprised this has not been a topic on the TGC Tours forum other than the one you have there - as I have encountered several contest courses that has this problem on my computer. Perhaps those that do get this issue don't care as we do, and that we indeed are in a small minority.
