This one has been in the works for a little over 2 years now.  Finally getting to the back nine.  Have 11 holes completes with the remaining ones in various progress.  Trying to tie it as close to the original as possible with every little mound and detail, so I tend to get burned out and work on other things for stretches.

Here are some updated pics.  Hoping to complete this year.

View of the 2nd hole (11th hole to the left isn't done)

Elevated view of the 18th.  3 fairways to choose from.  Left is safe, but turns the hole into a 3-shotter.  Right is a slight gamble and it shortens the hole, but it gives a difficult angle in.  Center fairway was a complete gamble, but left a perfect approach right up the gut.  In the early 1900s, this was probably the wildest hole in America and possibly the most famous.

zoomed in approach to 18 from the right fairway angle- not ideal

Work in progress- knoll hole.

The Cape hole 5th at the edge of the property with housing development as it was

Greenside bunker at the 5th

And a neat cloud scene at the Biarritz 8th

And one last one to show what the sandy site was like irl:

I'm enjoying the journey.  It's like taking a class on golf architecture.  It actually won't be great to play on a non sim unless I still in some awkward back tees (which I will try to do).

On a sim however, I think it will be really good.

Just saw this beauty on Live from the PGA Championship!

I don't recall seeing you publish any versions of this, so I assume they took footage with your OK. Congrats on the spotlight... too bad all you got was an "Artist Rendering" credit.

Good eye!

I did publish some work in process versions.  NLE test 06 was the last one I believe.

Pretty cool that the golf channel is doing anything on architecture.  They should do more IMO.

Tas, guessing you mean NLE TEST 05?

There are two of those up along with an OH NLE_Test 01.

I played the first NLE TEST 05 course with the drink can photo.

Very fun, was cool to watch it last night on golf channel and think wow somebody should make this course and bingo, you did.

Oh also one of the greens was flat, I forget which, it was between 8 and 12, I think...maybe...11? I will play it again and locate it.
Also I don’t know, perhaps it is supposed to be flat?

I just haven't finished 11 through 17.  Those holes are mostly untouched from a sculpting standpoint.  Some greens have been perched up, but no fine detail.  This is why the picture is of the inside of a trash can (ie so nobody plays it expecting anything).  I just published the draft so that it would flow to the sim servers for play testing.

Hey TaS nice to see a long work progress. I have been working on the Devil's Pulpit for 4 1/2 months and thought that was stretching it. WaHoo to you man for sticking with it this long. Looking pretty darn good so far. There is only so much one can do with the designer and I am getting frustrated to say the least. I look forward to seeing the completed works one day. Good O

No updates recently.  Too busy with real golf and work.  I realize that when I can't play golf in the winter, this designer was my outlet.

Can't wait to get back to it, but might not be for a bit.
