Just opened for play. Located on spare desert wasteland somewhere between McCarran Airport and the Las Vegas Strip, Sport City Las Vegas is a new course funded by UNLV, and weaves its way between the university campus buildings. The opening tee shot gives you great views of Gambling Field, home of the UNLV football greats, the Las Vegas Buffets. Wind your way onwards - the swimming and diving club, the campus basketball court at the 10th hole, and the home of UNLV’s baseball giants, the Vegas Happy Hours. Your attention may be drawn by the last remaining section of an ill-fated attempt to bring Formula 1 to Vegas. What remains of the pit straight and starting grid can help, or hinder, your tee shots.

Please note: The 16th hole ‘The Rat Pack Driving Range’ currently has a team of ball-collectors out in their buggies gathering up the balls at the end of the day. Please be aware of their presence, and a hearty shout of ‘Fore!’ should be administered if your drive looks like heading their way.

A cheeky wee bump and hopefully a push towards handicap status! Last time I looked, had reached 180 plays. Hoping that this course of mine might be my second one to reach the hallowed ground of handicap rating.... hallelujah!

This was so much fun to play! I'm not a great player but really liked navigating through your buildings and various structures within the course. Tried to cut that dogleg on #15.... ricocheted 2 drives into the bank and into the water. Not my finest effort!  If I had a Society, this would be a mandatory opening course to play. Only critique was the mostly flat greens but you need them after all the effort just getting there. Gave it a five and added it to my Favorites. Outstanding!
