While shaking the bushes looking for news of any forthcoming golf game releases, I somehow stumbled on Sim Golf by MobyGames (not Sid Meier's SimGolf, mind you).  I never had any interest in it at its time of release because I was heavy into Links LS and EA's PGA Tour 95 and 96 along that time.  It has an interesting looking HUD and describes itself as having a unique mouse interface.  It also had a course architect.

Here's a link to MobyGames information page about it:  https://www.mobygames.com/game/simgolf

I found and downloaded a playable demo of it for kicks, but it's a Windows 95 game and I can't figure out how to get it to run in Windows 10.  Does anyone have any experience with this game?   I'm just curious about it....

Okay, I see now that you've played Sim Golf... and I'm being careful here to avoid confusing folks that I'm talking about MobyGames Sim Golf, not Sid Meier's SimGolf (the golf resort building game).  I wish I could get the demo to play, but I still can't figure out how.  I want to see what this unique mouse control swing system for which it's touted is all about!

Did you ever try out its course creator?

I figured out how to play the demo in compatibility mode.  The game itself was a bit more primative looking than I thought it would be.  No reverse landing cam option is now a show stopper for me in golf games.  That mouse swing is the toughest I've every tried though!  I whiffed on half of my swing attempts... it's VERY sensitive on the swing path.

I can move along now that the mystery of this game no long tempts me  ;)

I feel the same way about the dated graphics for PGA Championship Golf 2000 so I will take your word on Sim Golf graphics being the same.

Back to waiting for the next latest and greatest video golf game (if it ever materializes).  ???

Actually, the golfer in Sim Golf looks better than that of PGA Championship Golf 2000's.  That's the only advantage it has over it though.

This game is amazing and should be played by those who loves to control every aspect of a game. Unfortunately you can't play this gem on Windows 10 because EA thinks it's not worthy of uploading to Origin or even making a simple patch for this game. It's amazing to me that they will do this for a game like this but who cares.
