I swore that I was done with course design, but with the unseasonable winter weather and Scotland’s lockdown merely easing, very slowly easing.... what do you know? I did another one.

Welcome to Verloren Islands Retreat. I have done this one purely for fun and the hell of it. The playground of millionaires, and scruffy herberts who own a copy of TGC 2K21.   

Fly into Verloren International Airport and be whisked off to the resort hotel, or perhaps a cosy lodge complete with hot tub. Your tee time awaits. Watch out for the sneaky out-of-bounds on the corner of Splashschott Castle. Beware the sneaky Pin 4 position that demands you use the slopes of the green. Watch out for low flying aircraft... as you dive across the runway of the airport on the 18th. Space is limited on the islands - don’t worry, jetblast doesn’t hurt... much.

Have fun in the sun... and, this is my 10th, and definitely last design. Honest!

I love this course!! Played it with default wind which was fun despite a quad bogie plus my general poor score . Island type courses make you think carefully about club selection and wind factors. Planting and retaining walls were really nice! Hope you keep designing as it’s clear you have that talent.

Thanks for playing, and the kind comments. I could have worded things better in regard to me not designing any more - I really meant not for a long while, not never ever again! Having ended up doing three courses during lockdown and a long winter, with Springtime arriving here in Scotland and lockdown at long last easing.... the real golf clubs have come out of hibernation, and some sort of normal life is in danger of returning!

Come November, when the winter, crap weather, and dark nights return... who knows? Might dust down the designer and go again.

Really enjoyed playing your '21 version but I must say I really enjoyed the enhancements you made to the '23 version. A 5 for me and added it to my favorites. Really wish we could search by designer.
