X Box one.
There's so much competition for members in Societies in this game. I co-manage one that has like 16 members, but typically only five to seven play in a given tournament. We have a daily, 18 hole tournament that runs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and a 36 to 72 hole tournament that runs Thursday through Sunday. Our weekly tournament is usually at whatever course the real PGA TOUR is at for that week, provided we have a quality user created rendition of that course, or it's at one of the official courses included with the game.
We get to see 4 different courses and even with only five to seven players, it's still fun, but it would feel more vital if we had double digit players in each event.
I also manage the Reddit XBox Official PGA TOUR 2K Society, where we play one 72 hole tournament that starts on Monday night and ends on Sunday night. We'll see anywhere from 70 to 90 players in that tournament with a field that includes world class champions to run of the mill players like me. I consider it an accomplishment to finish in the top 50 in this Society, but it's still lots of fun playing against and with the players in my fifth or sixth "flight"... I've sort of made it a league within a league.
What's ironic though is that 75% of the messages posted on the "in game" Society message board are ads for people to play in their league. Honestly though, I've mostly been discouraged from trying to post messages on that message board because the profanity filter is so freakin' sensitive that even the most innocuously harmless looking message somehow manages to trigger the "cuss filter" and you lose a paragraph long message as a result

We have a thread for the Society in the Reddit PGA TOUR 2K forum, but the way messages are tagged and displayed in that forum, it's cumbersome to follow and it loses its flow.
Still, we get a great turnout week after week and I think it's due to being consistent with quality courses, settings that appeal to the broadest denominator (we use Pro swing difficulty, no shot previews). It would be better if we could have a live, voice and/or text chat lobby that was embedded in the Society framework, where just popping into that lobby hooked you up with everyone else in the lobby. It would make it so much easier to exchange thoughts, ask questions, and set up rounds. Maybe we'll see something like that in PGA TOUR 2K23?
