Didn't buy the last game, first Golf Club game I've skipped, because they removed the offline single player society mode. Still can't understand why they took it out and I'm assuming it won't be added back in to the new game.
I was quite excited when 2k came on board as their NBA games have been excellent for the most part. I can see now though with the details announced for this new edition that 2k are moving to pull in more casual gamers with arcade style play and the sort of features that were in EAs old Tiger Woods games.
It feels like a slap in the face for long time Golf Club players. If they wanted to make an arcadey golf game why didn't they just do that? Why did they have to hijjack our game series?
I see that there are no
details for developments to the course creator. Wouldn't surprise me if the mode is eventually dropped altogether so they can push people to DLC courses instead. The graphics haven't moved on since PS4 days either, which given that the PS5 has been here a little while now is disappointing to.
I'll probably be skipping this next iteration unless there are a lot more enticing details announced before October.
