You can leave societies you joined any time, you cannot leave the society you created as you are it's founder. With the society you create, you can constantly edit almost every element of it, even the name for example.

Thank you for the info.

How do you do that for an online society? Tried R1 R1 and nothing happens
Thanks

I created a society and it's dead is there no way I can delete it that way I can have all my measly 5 society slots available I mean not being able to delete is a bit ridiculous, is there a plan to enable this in the near future or give us more slots or just do away with societies and bring back tours??

There is not a way to delete it.  I have not heard of any talk of being able to do this.  There is a chance the society limit gets increased but Societies are not just going to be done away with.

Ok I can swallow the gigantic horse pill that is not having tours anymore because of the cross platform issues thus ruining the community run events etc etc... But essentially I'm now limited to 4 society slots that is just effing lovely I paid for a game that limits the amount of tours I can join in basically sorry but I call BS on this seriously needs to have a delete option or give us more slots.....
