1)  I think it would be cool if HB studios implemented a feature that is now available on the Aboutgolf high end golf simulator.  It allows you to crouch down and when doing so, the putting surface raises up a couple feet below eye level and you're able to read the greens.  How about implementing this feature into putting in The Golf Club?  I don't think any game has done it yet..

2)  Power Meter - Standard stuff but I do think there are times when a golfer needs weigh the risk/reward and give it a little extra, off the tee.  How about a tapping button function that, unlike Tiger Woods games, doesn't max out when the ball icon fills up but is only limited to how quickly you can physically tap the button, therefore it's kind of on you to see how much more you can get on your drives.

3) Caddies.  I know this is reaching at this point but down the line, I think caddies would make for a nice option... can steal one from TW and have the option to go with a recommendation or your own call.  Change clubs, caddie animation goes to the bag, take out a different club, cleans club after shot, etc.

4) Multiple colored golf bags & staff, cart, carry sizes.

5) I would love to one day play a golf game that gave the user the option to ride a cart down the fairways/paths and actually have to locate your ball based on your typical club distances (could have a yardage meter that counts down the further down the fairway you drive).

6) Weather/time of day and the effects that go with it (lighting, dew, temperature changes).

7)  Ocean course theme

8)  Down the road and I'm sure they're eying this up anyway, but real players  with their real caddies and real equipment (ball selection: low/high spin, shafts: spin/launch characteristics, shaft lengths - more distance vs more control, etc).

9) Smoother backswing/downswing transition and animations.  Seems kind of jagged and slow as it is...

10)  Fix the across the line at the top swing all the players have with the driver.

11)  Confidence meter (based on prior shots and round momentum)  Ups the ante with risk/reward shot opportunities.

12) Real, Licensed Courses one day.

13) Custom camera angles including ball cam.

14) Take a page out of MLB The Show's book and really nail down all the subtleties and nuances of golf animations pre, during and post shot.  Including unique pre-shot routines, waggles, etc.

15) Practice Facility (driving range, short game area, putting green, etc)

16) Different types of grass with different affects based on course and course location, weather, time of day.

17)  1 and 2 plane swings with a indicator track or line that you have to match with the joystick (miss inside - draw/hook, miss outside - fade/slice)

18)  First Person Swing Cam.  Would be difficult to implement if done well could add a different dimension to golf games.

Just some suggestions for you guys that I think would really take things to the next level.  Some are definitely unrealistic at this time but perhaps down the road.   Cheers.  Looking forward to the console release.

Actually for a first person swing cam you could use the joystick in a horizontal manner and really be able to implement draws/fades and stance and the effects of an open or closed stance, etc.

My thoughts on your list.

1.   Yes, love it.
2.   I'd like an "overpower" shot option too.  Maybe gets it to 105% (without adjusting lofting).   Enabling this feature would reduce the 'hit cone' by 50%, making mi****s more likely.
3.   Meh,  I didn't really like the caddy in the newer TW games, i disabled him immediately.
4.   More options...love it.   Most likely on the wishlist as lower priority at the moment.
5.   no comment.  (perhaps see my #18 answer?)
6.   Yes. wind, weather, time, green speed, firmness should be player choice.
7.   Links theme is close.       Links theme + Rural foliage may be the fit?
8.   Real players, probably not going to happen.
9.   Agree
10.  Haven't ever noticed that, but I'll take a peek
11.   Another thing from TW that I wasn't a big fan of.
12.   The new Greg Norman Course Designer, and the amazing designers we have, plus the many more that will be here soon should address this as a community.
13.   Yes, totally!
14.   Yes, but its not all that important to gameplay, just for immersion.  (user options for which animations, swing habits they do)
15.   Yes, absolutely
16.   Yes, especially tall grasses and fescues.    Different mow patterns for greens, boxes and fairways too.
17.    Not quite sure what you mean.
18.    There has been a thread on VR headsets recently that this would fit nicely into.

Love your enthusiasm.  I think The Golf Club can and will eventually dethrone EA Sports offering for the purist golf fan.  I especially think the team at HB studios seem to be very committed and approachable, which is great.

17) For example - Don't make it so all golfers have the same swing, that's ridiculous.  Some golfers have 1 plane swings (Matt Kutcher) and some golfers have 2 plane swings (Tom Watson).  To make the game more interesting, instead of just pulling the joystick back and forth, like every golf game has done from the dawn of time, have a track or plane line indicator on screen that identifies the perfect plane, depending on the golfer (1 or 2 plane golfer) that you need to follow with the joystick and stay on, for optimal contact, ball flight, smash factor, etc, it makes the game more dynamic and also would make switching golfers more interesting, challenging and possibly fun.  What would also be cool is that some people may find they're naturally more accurate tracking the joystick back on a 45* angle (1 plane swing) or straight line (2 plane swing).   If you don't keep the club within the onscreen track or line, either during the backswing or downswing and for either the 1 or 2 plane swing, you end up either coming from too far inside or too far outside and the result should be what it would be in real life - draw/fade or hook/slice and pull/push.  It's a little difficult to explain in words but it would be quite easy to implement into the game.

19) Should also be able to adjust stance now that I think about it.  Draw/Fade.

20)  Also, instead of wind meter, make an animation for bending over and flicking grass in the air... will tell you direction and intensity where you're hitting from.   No one on tour has a wind meter, no one in golf for that matter... you want to know what the wind is doing on the green, look at the flag.  What it's doing 150ft in the air is anyone's guess, just like real golf.

21)  Be cool to implement range finders and GPS' into the game too with animation to get reading for yardages of bunkers, flags, trees, etc.

Could use the whole sniper rifle thing from first person shooters.

During pitching and more so chipping, stance should be narrower and feet closer to ball, right now it looks like these guys are competing in long drive.

1 - Interesting idea, but isn't everyone using Aimpoint / AP Express now? :)
2 - Like it - swing meter that emulates this but can spray shot (or even top it? :)  )
3 - For tournaments caddies would be a nice touch
4 - or multi colored golf balls
5 - A little too realistic  but to each their own
6 - yes, weather effects are needed
7 - Yes
8 - Would be alright, but maybe not 'real' people but a personalized caddy who's experience grows the more he plays with your character and more he plays the courses
9 - yes
10 - yes
11 - meh... but wouldn't be against it
12 - licensed courses would be nice but I don't think we'll ever see it with this game
13 - yes
14 - in a small dose ok, otherwise slow down pace of play too much between shots
15 - YES!! We need a practice facility!
16 - A nice touch
17 - nice idea
18 - I'd like to see a club head cam :)

19th - a drinking game when you're done the round :)

Regarding wind : a button or option where golfer just rips up some grass and drops it... which way and how fast the grass falls is your wind direction.
