Just to let you know i played this morning and the commentary was all over the place, John was saying it is in the water,it landed in the rough, in the rough when on the fairway etc.

This is the first time it has not been spot on.

I've found the commentary a bit hit and miss - drive it straight down the middle of the fairway and get told "Oh oh, looks like you'll be in the short stuff".

Doesn't bother me, commentary is usually pretty poor in many sports games, and when I get fed up with it I'll just turn it off and make my own!

I just assumed that when I was playing really badly, John's commentary entered an "awkward silence" mode.

Cannot be sure it was a links course, would that make a difference?.

Didn't mind the commentary at first but when I played four rounds in one evening the other day I was getting really tired of the repetition. For example looks like its on the short stuff....and then the amount of times I actually ended up in the rough and he says 'can't get them all right can I' or something similar. Even the Mrs in the next room was getting bored of it!!!

Hopefully HBS will introduce further commentary as the game evolves.

I have no commentary when I play on courses I created.  Should there always be commentary no matter where the course originated?

If you publish the course and play it normally you'll have commentary. If you're playing WITHING the editor? Nope.

that's what's supposed to happen anyway.

For the original problem of no commentary, try going into your xbox one settings and making sure your audio is set to "stereo uncompressed". Fixed both the commentary problem for this game and another audio problem I was having with Metro Redux.

No. Never resolved itself. But I traded my xbone on the ps4 and it's been great!
