When you go to rate a course you can move the rating graphic between the numbers, say half way between 8 and 9. Is this actually giving a course a better rating? The display shows only whole numbers, so is there any point to the space between? Logic says there must be a point or why have a long smooth transition, but logic also says if there was a point the fractional part would be displayed too so that you could give an exact rating!

I just don't want to waste any more time casting a vote of what I think is 7.8 if it is actually only registering as a vote of 7!! ???
Also, courses I think I'm giving a high score to may not be getting what they deserve and I need to select the higher number instead.

edit : this question may apply to all platforms, not just PC

They are whole numbers, not intervals thereof.

Thanks Lorin. I've under-rated a good few courses then!!
The current system is a bit misleading, as they operate like audio system dials which definitely infers some difference. Maybe the graphics should reflect that then and move in segments rather than as it is at present. ;)

Not that it is really needed, but a rating of 1-100 would be much better. Right now a course could be thought of as rated 71 or 89, but it gets a 7 or 8. The you have a course where a rating of 79 and 80 are almost identical, but still get a 7 or 8. Like I said, it is not really needed, but stats are so important in sport games and the stats in this game are already so generic they aren't even fun to look at.
My 2k23 courses
The Big Valley
Roy Rogers Happy Trails
Gilligan's Island Par 3
Mount Whoa Nelly
