Hi there. Marston Marsh, my first course for TGC, is near completion. I have to say, coming from a Links 2003 background I absolutely love the immediacy of this course designer. It really is fun to design courses with this after the years of grind that working with the APCD can often be.
The course has been created from scratch on a generated terrain with just some hills added to create variety. The course was then routed through the landscape to take advantage of the natural features, with almost no additional terrain changes, or planting added.
I have tried to create an interesting, realistic style course with tight fairways, but one that plays fair, and can give different challenges depending on the wind strength and direction. There are also a few risk/reward moments if conditions are favourable, and some fun elevation changes around part of the course.
I'm just in the final testing and tweaking phase now, so I hope to get the course released in the next couple of days.
