Actually having some of the fairways sloped isn't necessarily a bad thing. It adds to the challenge. From what I've seen of the official tours, they aren't going to choose an easy course for a tour stop. All the courses on both the TGC Long and Short tours were hard courses.

I agree, especially on a course that is as wide open as this one, you need some rolling fairways to add a variable to your shots and make players think about where they are aiming.  I have softened the slopes on 12, and 16 landing zones but the course will continue to have "rolling Fairways"

with regards to green speeds I will likely be releasing two versions.  Many courses speed up their greens for big tournaments so i will be publishing a championship edition with the greens slightly faster and a members version with slower greens, easier pins, and less yardage.

Good stuff. I in no way meant to not slope your fairways - just a couple were too severe IMO as to not be realistic(ish).
If you get time, please critique Links at the Bay for me. I'd value your opinion just based off of your course here - thanks!

Yeah, you're right about the green speeds. Was just re-reading the page and they say it's 11.5 to 12.0 during the Waste Management Open but 10.0 to 10.5 for daily play. So even with that's it's fairly fast, but very fast for the tourney.

When playing Coyote Canyon I often find myself playing from the desert... but even the view from the rattle snake dens isn't terrible.

The 18th green is a large green like the others at Coyote Canyon, but requires careful shot placement because of the contours.  Players will be hitting around 150 yds into this green.

"Ronnie's Creek" wraps around the front and up the right side.  Normally dry this time of year, it will only come into play if the pin in on the right side of the green.

Well done!  Great bunkering and I loved most of the green complexes.  I imagine the new update might even make this course even better

Yeah the creek is new. At the time of my first version 18 and 16 were kind of slapped together just to get it playable.  There has also been a lot of work put into green contours since the first release.

I have published a version to showcase some recent work and give everyone a chance to test out the way the members play the course at Coyote Canyon.

Members course will play about 6600 yards, with easier pins, and medium fast conditions.

The Championship Edition will play about 7250 yards, with challenging pins and fast conditions.

I would make this a walkers only course with a caddy program. I would never put a cart path over these great walkways you have created.

Agreed, I had originally put in the rough paths as a way to reserve space for future cart paths but i have grown to like the look of them as they are.  Also if a ball lands on a paved path, who knows where it might go.  If a ball lands on my rough paths we all know how it will play.

I guess we will see for sure when cart paths are added to the game but i am leaning towards leaving them as is at this time.

Great out come, nick. Excellent design, layout and workout.  :)
Just some minors, you are probably aware off,
- pathes missing around T-aerea 4.
- some fw on the "very narrow side". 10-15yds is not very generous  ;) . Getting nicer towards the end of the round.
Overall a superb course with a lot of work put into details.  :)
