Well, I have fiddled with the settings repeatedly but I can't get the cameras to function correctly. No matter what I set the putting default to the game seems to just adopt the default of the main camera.
I liked the low camera for tee shots, but it is hopeless for putting. Actually, it's not easy for teeing off either, because the aiming reticle is up in the sky and invisible far more often than I am used to, but I still like it.
The best putting camera for me seems to suffer on occasions from the old head getting partially in the way.
I really enjoyed turning off the follow cam and manually enabling it whenever I was curious, but I soon realised this was another option I couldn't use when I tried it in multiplayer. There is no way to zoom to your opponents ball, so you can't congratulate your opponent on their shot because you haven't got a clue where it has landed. I had to re-enable the follow cam. I guess there will be the same problem with ghost balls too.
With all these problems I've still ended up having to play with the same defaults that I always had!! At least I can now manually change the camera view when the mood takes me though.  :-\

Bad news on the golfer/follow camera transition option not working when viewing other's shots in turn-based enabled multiplayer, Acrillix  :(  I would imagine it will be the same in turn-based ghost player also?

I haven't experienced what you're describing in the camera reverting, but then again, I've only used option 3 for all shot types so for, as it works best for me across the board anyway.  I'll try what you're trying to do so I can report back next time I play.

This is correct...you only have control of the camera when you are in control of the player.  Just like you have never been able to use the scout cam when someone else (including ghosts) are up for their turn.

It would be great if we could enable follow camera for the ghost and live player turn-based multiplayer in that case then.  Is this something that could be looked at as a possibility for a future update?

That's what I was thinking.  It's a quick fix.

Adam said he could set it to be so that the ghost/rival was always set to follow cam and that the setting you select in the settings was just for you.  My reply was that I thought if a player selected to play with follow cam off, that that would likely be their preference for rivals too.

Adam/HB team

I was very pleased to see some additional camera options added to TGC they are a big improvement over what we have used in the game previously....thanks.

The presets are getting me close to my preferred F9 edited view for gameplay, i would like to know if you are planning any more additional presets in the near future or even a free camera that we can set to our own preference.

The screenshot below is direct from gameplay with the preshot camera axis displayed ,it works great with the follow camera disabled.

There are no immediate plans for more presets.  I have put some thought into a custom camera feature but that probably won't happen for a while as we have other priorities and feel that the presets do a pretty good job for now.   Thanks for the feedback.

Has anyone else managed to set their default putting camera separate from their default main and get it to work?
It definitely doesn't work on my game. Just defaults the putting camera to the main setting.  ???

Also, will the follow cam issue be resolved any time soon for multiplayer opponents and ghosts by offering a separate setting for these?
I'd really like to use the new follow cam off mode, but can't as 90% of my games are multiplayer.

There is a hotfix coming today (I think) where the ghost player's camera (which includes players in TBMP) defaults to 'follow on regardless' of what you select for your personal cam choices.  We may consider giving you a choice between follow cam on or off for the ghost balls in the future.  But the ability to set it to off and then zoom during ball flight for a ghost would require a lot of work and is likely not in the cards any time soon.

As for the putting cam...you do know that that doesn't change the view at address, right (that is governed by the Main Cam view)?  The Putting Cam changes the view you get after you press the B button ('E' on keyboard) to enter the putting cam.  This can also be cycled by pressing V on keyboard (or the non-swing stick click) while in the putting cam view.

Ok, thanks. That would explain it. I have never used that red button putting view, so I never thought it was referring to that.
That said, I'd really like the option to set a separate address view for putting in the future, as there is a higher, closer view that is far better for putting, but I do not like it as a main camera.
I also think there should be some representation of what each camera is like in the options. At the moment you have to exit back to the game to see if you've picked the correct one you want.

Great news on the follow cam too, as I'm really looking forward to turning it off!!!  :)

This sounds like a good short term solution for this and I'm surprised (but delighted) that it can be done with a hot fix :)  I think this approach helps solidify the player perspective for your shot only, whereas you'd be more likely to watch your opponent swing from something other than the swing camera in real life, ie. standing off angle to the rear or beside your 'turn-based' IRL opponents.  As you've taken note of already, I've suggested a camera perspective that would allow the gamer to view their opponent's play their shots from wherever the gamer's player would be standing in real life in turn-based multiplayer in the suggestion thread ;)  Ideally, that view would have the option to watch the swing, impact, and flight up until about 75% travel, then swith to a reverse-angle landing view which would pan and track it to its finish.... one can dream,  can't one?  ;D

I'm glad you explained this... it now makes total sense.  Like Acrillix, I was thinking it was supposed to automatically dial up those views.  This will work though.

I guess this hotfix will also work for the XB1 and PS4 versions when their Updates are applied?
