careful what you wish for...a couple of weeks ago, there was an XBone patch, addressing the Frame Rate issue vs. the PS4. they reprogrammed the thing, stealing framerate from the Kinect input to do it.

I'm just asking the question....I know the PS4 has more graphical horsepower than the One, but none of us know how much this engine being based on Unity 3D will stress either console.....so why not strive for 1080p at 60 fps on both? Don't XBox One users deserve the same experience as PS4 users?

Because i dont own an Xbox One so im not interested in what resolution it will be for that system, and maybe the Xbox One will be able to handle the resolutions and frames soon but as it stands it can't and i read somewhere that the patch for the Xbox only gave it an 8% boost which people with tech knowledge were saying it would hardly make a difference. I don't know about the technical side of things but i know i feel happy owning a PS4 over the Xbox this time which is a shame as ive always been an Xbox guy. DRM, always online, mandatory kinect and no used games lol i know it was all reversed but do you really want to be a customer of a company that has no thought for the consumer? jesus.

My question was simply why not ask for the same experience for users of the "other" console that you despise. I am going to end up with both at some point, so its all good. Aned I supported MS on the One because the good features of the system outweighed the bad for me personally. MS is getting their you know what's handed to them right now and they will figure things out and right the ship at some point. However, they can't "right the ship" on hardware as they failed miserably on this and have lost what advantages the 360 enjoyed over the PS3.

I didn't ask for the Xbox because that information is no use to me, i was just trying to get a quick answer regarding the PS4 and at this moment in time its ok for people to assume that the same resolutions may be hard to achieve on Xbox. I f you wanna know what the res will be on Xbox then ask.

I tell you what... I get cold chills when I think about this game running at 1080 p/60 fps on any console, whether it's the Wii-U (and yes I know this game isn't coming out for the Wii-U, I'm just being facetious), XBox One, or PS4.  I especially think 60 fps is probably going to be a key factor in getting the 'feel' based interface to truly flourish.  The 1080 p would just put it over the top though; these upscaled "1080 p" resolutions we've seen in XBox 360 games are pretenders.  When I saw what NBA 2K14 looked like in upscaled 1080 p on the 360, versus native 1080 p on the XBox One, I could see a difference and I liked what I saw.

No need to get snippy about it. Good grief. ::)

Excuse me for looking out for others who may not have a PS4 yet, like me.....

Hey guys and gals,

I own a PS4 and PS3. I know Joe is just trying to get an answer for his system and didn't think to ask for the specs of the game on the Xbox One since he doesn't own it. I want the best that each system (PS4, Xbox One, and PC) can provide not a game dumb down to have comparable graphics and frame rate. Currently the PS4 is easier to program for and it is also much more powerful than the Xbox One. Many multi platform games are running at native 1080P on the PS4 but not on the Xbox One. I hope HB Studios can do a comparable resolution for the game on both systems, but sadly the Xbox One has already frustrated other developers and they were unable to get their games to run equally between both systems. It just hard because of the power gap and the ease of development the PS4 is designed.

Now you Xbox One owners please understand I'm not dissing your system I know you are enjoying all the features but specs for each system is vastly different and it's just a fact. All you PS4 owners please don't talk smack because you have the more powerful system. Both systems are good consoles and much more powerful than their predecessors and we should all just enjoy gaming. Lastly, I want to say is please have fun and remember all we want is to play this great game that HB Studios is making.

Cheers!!!

720p/900p/1080p it all looks the same!!! Can anyone tell me how to spot the difference.

I don't have any exposure at all to a PS4.  I've seen an XBox One in action playing Forza 5 and NBA 2K14.  The point I was trying to make with the XBox One version of NBA 2K14 was that I do see an appreciable difference between it and the XBox 360 version, which I had rented.  I'll be shocked if both the XBox One and PS4 versions don't deliver The Golf Club at 1080 p/60 fps.

My reply was"snippy"!?  I need to re-evalutate my English composition skills then because I certainly had no intent of being snippy!  I don't own a next-gen console yet, and there's still a good chance it will be an XBox One, especially if Controller Max adds XBox One Fanatec support to their controller adapter.   Seriously, please clarify how my response was snippy to you, or the XBox One.  I'm truly embarrased if I came off that way  :o

Thanks for clearing that up; I should have known better, but I thought because I'd incorrectly used XBox 360 (instead of One), along with PS4 and Wii-U, that might have changed the way my message was perceived.  I went back and removed my reply to you since it's no longer valid.  Oh, and I changed my incorrect use of 360 to One.
