I've never spent so much time sketching out a layout for a course before but Taste's competition, along with the simply stunning countryside theme, has motivated me to try a little harder.

I have spent around 10 days now sketching my layout and it's pretty much done.  I don't think it'll change much unless playtesting throws up any issues.  I've no started building up the holes in the GNCD.

Set in Stratford-Upon-Avon, The Shakespeare Golf Club is going to be more of a test compared with some of my more recent projects, although the greens will still be receptive.

Here's a picture of Escalus, the par 3 3rd hole.

This will take a while.  Unless I'm struggling for work in January or if my fiance leaves me and takes the nipper.

You know I toyed with a heavily treed course like this... I'll let you do this one. I'll do it next time. :) I like the looks of that hole. Keep it up bubba!

It may not stay so heavily treed.  Depends on frame rates and so on.

that hole will stay that way. If you change it I'll find you and give you SUCH a wedgie.

Nearly finished my second hole. (will be the sixth on the finished course)  A long par five with a tough green to aim for - especially if you're going in with a wood/long iron.

This is the green of Borachio - Some early morning mist rising off a tributary to the river Avon.  Nobody panic.  It's only shallow.

I've had a bit of a rethink and I've swapped the layout around a bit.  Doesn't affect much but it means that a lot of holes designed for the front nine are in fact for the back nine now.  This was for various reason: Running out of space, one of the holes needing a redesign as it just wasn't playing how I wanted it to and because I've redesigned a par five.  All very dull stuff.

This is the tee off from the (now) 13th tee.

Biggins, how do you cope with the constant crashing? It's driven me to distraction, so much so that I've given up with it until it's been fixed.

i think i crashed once after loading up about a few thousand planes in the sky,  just wanted to see how crazy it would look,  thought i was in a war.
