Hey guys -

I would like to make this a place for people to go to get tutorials or tips & tricks videos about how to use the Greg Norman Course Designer made by some of the most creative GNCD designers in the world...you!  So when you start a thread of your own tips for the GNCD, and that thread includes a video, throw a link to that video in here too.  If you forget, I will try and do it for you.  All we ask is that you keep the language and images clean.  Thanks for making The Golf Club such an amazing game!

Just made a video on my hole design process. Did a twitch broadcast that is currently uploading to youtube. I outlined some techniques I used as well and even got some tips from designers that were watching! It's a bit of a long watch at 95 mins, but I'm pretty happy with turning an empty piece of land to a pretty decent golf hole. Also in the video, I play the front nine of my WIP..

Canuck , had a chance to watch the entire video last night . I learned so many new things as a noob course designer ( I haven't even built one yet) to help me lay out a golf course. Excellent video with tons of helpful information. Thanks for posting it . I may give it another go tonight !!

Hi Everyone,

I have created a 10-part basic course design tutorial. Each video is only 5-10 minutes long and discusses topics such as building greens, bunkering and contouring, tee boxes, etc. Check out the playlist here! Hopefully it helps new (and possibly experienced) designers!

Iin one of your excellent videos, you demonstrate how, by holdind the 'A' down you can do a multiplant placement by moving the cursor 'wildly' around at the same time
Are you using a controller for this and if so, would there be an equivalent key on the  PC?

thank you. I download every video of yours from youtube.

I use a controller for PC, but using the keyboard, I imagine whatever button you use to place objects should work?

Yeah, just click the mouse button -- you have to be quick though when clicking.

Certainly helped me CC,
I class myself as experienced & at an intermediate level.
As you know I have a couple of decent courses under my belt - but the playability, realism & finer points of design are where I need to improve.
Your quality tutorials are just what I was looking for and some of your tips & tricks are priceless.
Thanks for uploading them to your channel.
Sam.

OK, this ought to bore the crap out of most, and yet some may find it interesting, or not ....
The following upcoming set of 8 videos, is a start to rough finish of just one hole.  I have no idea for a name of the course, but it is a highland theme.

I am sure the audio quality sucks and my monotone voice will no doubt put some to sleep.

But some may get a different idea on how I amuse myself in course creation, and why I spend so many hours creating a course.  It always comes down to the details ...

Started watching them Dawg but unfortunately had to stop as I had to turn the volume up to be able to hear what you were saying properly which meant the ambient game sounds in the background were far too loud. If you can sort that out I'm sure they will be of great benefit to the design community.

yeah .... I agree, but I am afraid to fix that is too much work I care to go into ... but even just watching ... you get an idea what is happening ...

I have a cheap mike/headset ...

Dawg discussion on Distance tools

This is a video on my pre-released course of The Links Tropicana @ McCarthy's North Shore.

The audio is better, good for you, bad for me ... I am not the best public speaker in the world and do not read from a script or teleprompter ....
