One thing some of you might of not thought about is there is a possibility that a multitude of the tweaks that you guys are clamoring for are being worked on as well?  Maybe the person that would program this particular theme is available for this task at not much of an expense to the other things people are asking for?   I know it's far fetched, but I'm looking at it like this -
If HBS knows in those two days they won't be able to get much done in terms of fixing some of the things people want fixed why not add the winter theme if it's just a matter of a couple of short days getting up there?

I don't know,  but outside of a great lobby system I'm very happy with the game as it sits right now.  Can it be improved?  Of  course it can in many ways, but it's oh so close...   I think concentration should be on adding variety in the themes anytime that they can.     If they came out and said that the winter theme was going to be the next theme and take up a ton of their resources I would be the first to say they were crazy.

Either way, I'm good.. The only thing that is really bothering me about the game at the moment is not being able to share it more socially with others.   There are lots of things that could be added to improve the game-play and options, but Rome wasn't built in a day.

I wish HBS would poll the community in regards to a lobby system.  I personally would be interested to see where the majority stands on this...  Even though I know that the vast majority doesn't visit this forum.

Please HB,  give us a way to share user created society templates of our tour course schedules.

I'd rather see the time spent optimizing the original 5 themes to bring them to the grapics quality of Boreal/Countryside.

+1

Too had to see when playing on this theme.  I would never play a course on it.

I had to vote no.  With all the snow on the greens, I couldn't see the slopes very well to putt on.  Made putting very difficult.  Maybe that was the point /shrug.

Yes, but only if rain from March update washes away the snow.  Joking aside, i'm not sure. It would require a water trail from ball when putting. Winter clothes and coloured sky's to give the theme longevity.  Obviously i'd prefer it to not be in place of any other theme(s).  It would need snow covered objects added possibly, and coloured golf balls. The ball would also have to leave a trail on fairway. It has potential, especially for matchplay. It does need work to veer away from novelty status. Oh yeah, should also add there should be an option for how much snow a course has, especially if there's  rain. I will vote yes in principle. I suspect my ideas may take the team more than a few days ?

Technically, you shouldn't be able to play courses in the snow.
Walking on frosted grass really hurts the grass (according to my course greenskeeper)

from a player's perspective, I'd say no - novelty is good, not sure I need more than the already released winter courses.  Maybe the snow covered trees could work in Apline

Depends on the course.

Some courses won't let you near them if they're iced, others will play all year long regardless of the weather.

As a ps4 user, with every new theme the game becomes more and more difficult to play properly (100% swing due to framerates). Personally, I avoid the newer themes and play the older. The issues are either simply not there, or less noticeable. In fact, I now judge my shots based off 95% and if I get 100%...oh well. Long answer but I voted no. I would much rather see the time spent on a lot more important issues brought up numerous times. Also found it very difficult to read the greens in that theme. It was an awesome "novelty" theme for the holidays....would rather see it left as  that. Sounds very negative but honestly I love this game to death. Play it daily but would like to see what's already here work better as opposed to new content. Just my opinion of course.

I voted Yes, but still would rather have cart paths, mulch, roads, etc. I enjoyed watching the snow falling and would also like to see some rain and about a million other real life objects.

I see that the nay-side is in the lead at this time. Still, I hope the Winter theme will be available for GNCD. GNCD is a big part of this game, and for me the process when I design is the best part of the game, and I would really like some variety. Also, where I live, there are several 9-hole par3 courses that are open in winter time, so this theme isn't as unrealistic as some claims. I would really like to get the chance to make a Par3-course using this theme.  :)

Also, I think the winter theme can add to variety so that more people will enjoy the game, which could be more sold copies of the game.  ;)

I'm not surprised at all. The forum is literally jammed with issue and updates we would like to have addressed.

The fact that HB is even inquiring about more themes being desired is ominous.

New themes is absolutely the last thing that needs attention right now.
