This started to help get the recognition of courses that were designed on the XBOX 1 exclusively.  I know how difficult, and time consuming it can be to create a well designed course, and just wanted to get the designers the plays they need to get their course HC'ed.  It is known that the plays on each course only count if played on the same platform the course was created on.  Some of these gems are often times lost very quickly on the "all platform" page of this forum without getting the plays they deserve.  Designers, I would recommend posting your course here and on the "all platforms" page, which should get your course more exposure.  I would definitely play and search for courses here, as I feel I would be helping out the hard working designers on the platform of which I play on.

Thanks

Good Idea ISAWTHAT,

Nice idea for a topic. I play and design on the XB1, and as you said would like to get a bit more recognition.
So here are 2 of my latest courses:

Lowlander Links - A links style course, after designing in Boreal and Countrside and really honing my skills I went back to an original theme to see if I could do it justice. I think I succeeded, but only XB1 users can tell me that

Loon Lake state park Par 3 - This is an Elz and Crazycanuk1985 Par 3 Challenge creation. It designed in Boreal and only 9 holes.
It should take no more than 12-15 minutes to play

enjoy and thanks in advance
Cally

Thanks Cally, I will give them a go.

You made me think that courses designed on XBOX 1, would more than likely be "playable friendly" as well.  By that I mean little to zero lag, a smooth round of golf.

This is a good idea.  You can't have too much exposure for your courses.

I have been doing a Beat the Designer (Xbox version) series.  I have a thread with the same name in the Xbox section of the forums.  The idea is to get XB1 designers more exposure for their courses.   I play a Stableford match vs the designer's ghost and stream the match on Twitch then upload to Youtube.

I would prefer to keep it to XB1 designers who have taken the time to create custom courses from scratch.  They are the ones who most deserve the exposure for putting in the time to create their courses.  For any designers out their who would like me to play a match on their course, head on over to that thread and drop me a message in there.

My courses that could use some love are Devil's Whisper  (my latest 18 hole course) and my par 3 course, also for the Elz and CrazyCanuck contest.  That course is called Par 3 Tournament Course at Hunter Meadows.

Thanks,
HH

Where the course is designed has no effect on lag, the course I am designing now on XB1 does has slight lag on 1 or 2 holes. It all depends on how much planting is used and how closely it is grouped to each other. I am currently play testing it and by no means is it unplayable. Actually I think I noticed it tonight for the first time, but it is there

Yeah that's kinda what I mean.  The plant/object count and shade movement rendering of the trees etc. can be handled better at higher frame rates on the other two platforms than on the XB1, at least until HBS can work in higher frame rate capabilities along with at least 900p reso. to XB1 with the next update(s).

Giving your courses a go in a bit.

Lowlander Links is such a playable and approachable course, easy on the eyes and frame rate as well.  I thought your par 5's were excellent.  Some really well made and placement of bunkers.  Some of the bigger bodies of water seemed to be shifting, but never distracted from play. The greens were receptive to long irons, and had good subtle slopes to some.  Shot 3 under.  Gave it a 7 and fav'ed it.

Loon Lake SP, has 9 things wrong with it...make another 9 please!.  Loved every hole and view from the tee on the course.  The most well colored surroundings without going overboard I've seen.  The drops from tee to green were almost (I said almost) too much, and captured the true meaning of being really FUN, as well as challenging.  That's what I got from playing this par 3 course, an absolute fun challenge.  8 and fav'ed.  Thanks for your hard work.

...It is known that the plays on each course only count if played on the same platform the course was created on...
Is this true?

I had thought that only plays on that system count towards the handicap rating on that same system.   So what you're saying is a PC created course CAN NOT get handicap rating on a console?  Likewise, an XB1 created course won't get a rating on PC or PS4?

This, doesn't seem right to me.

Regardless of what platform it was created on, it needs 200 plays on a  platform in order to get it rated for that platform.  The same course having 300 plays on the xbox and 100 plays on the PC, would only be handicap rated on the Xbox.  When it got to 200 plays on the PC, it would then be handicap rated on the PC.

For a true challenge and I mean TRUE challenge try my Whispering Heights Country Club course.  It is not for the faint of heart.  Headhunter has played it on his Xbox beat the Designer, and he completely agrees.

Play your first 2  courses FSF (Sunday) and ELR (Sunday)  I favored the Field Stone course. very well laid out design.  The Eagle Lake (while well done) was a bit to roller coaster for me.  Thank you for sharing.  You definitely have designer talent and creativity.

Yeah I've played that course, and remember the 10 yard wide fairways.  Too much of a challenge for me.
