This started to help get the recognition of courses that were designed on the XBOX 1 exclusively.  I know how difficult, and time consuming it can be to create a well designed course, and just wanted to get the designers the plays they need to get their course HC'ed.  It is known that the plays on each course only count if played on the same platform the course was created on.  Some of these gems are often times lost very quickly on the "all platform" page of this forum without getting the plays they deserve.  Designers, I would recommend posting your course here and on the "all platforms" page, which should get your course more exposure.  I would definitely play and search for courses here, as I feel I would be helping out the hard working designers on the platform of which I play on.

Thanks

Quite in agreement with your post.

The sooner the search part of the game gets a re-vamp the better, it is far to confusing at the moment and i am sure loads of decent courses just get lost in there without anyone knowing about them, it is a pain because when you search then go into a course to have a look at it then hit the back button you have to go through the whole menu again, i have suggested that it should default to where you last looked, in fairness i reported it on the bugs section and a reply came back that it was being re-vamped, hope so.

...It is known that the plays on each course only count if played on the same platform the course was created on...
Is this true?

I had thought that only plays on that system count towards the handicap rating on that same system.   So what you're saying is a PC created course CAN NOT get handicap rating on a console?  Likewise, an XB1 created course won't get a rating on PC or PS4?

This, doesn't seem right to me.

Your designs always seem to be some of the best work, but they always frighten me, they seem to be for the better players, i get wary that i will get swallowed up by either a very good player or........... eaten by  well a, Yeti.

For everyone who submitted a course to ISAWTHAT to play, come check out the XB1 Designers tour.
This is another way to give xbox designers some recognition. We are currently playing week 1
The only thing is that you must play the tour in order to have your course included on the tour.

ISAWTHAT, feel free to advertise your thread on mine, the more we can promote ourselves the better

http://www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=9388.0

Week 1 ends Sunday, 2 new xbox designed courses will be highlighted in week 2 starting Monday

Cally,

Finished the XB1 tour.  Nice courses, had a great time.  Total even par 5th place.

4 all who's interested, goto the "Tours and Tournaments" in the Xbox forum page for more info.  In game:  select "play tour" then search "XB1 Designers Tour - W1 "

Saddle Ridge C.C. - Sunday pin also Thursday pin

Don't be deceived by the short length of Saddle Ridge. This course requires course management from the tee and a keen eye on the challenging greens. This 6,677 yard championship course features UltraDwarf bermudagrass greens and zoysia grass fairways. Thursday and Sunday pins available.

Book your tee time today and let us know what you think of the course.

This is a great thread! To sit and design a course for hours on end, just to see it not get played is a bit of a let down. Now that my skills are improving. Ive been going back to my old courses and revamping them, so you will see more than one version of some of the courses on my list. I am currently revamping Oasis CC. Major overhaul has been done to this course and will soon be published under the finished name of Oasis Country Club. If you play both versions you can see a good before and after.

Here is a list of my designed courses:

Pebble Beach Golf Links
Baxter Pines CC
Sleepy Willow CC
Sundance CC
Oasis CC
Spring Meadows CC
TPC at Sawgrass Stadium Course
Firestone CC South Course
El Primero CC
Hobble Creek Golf Course
Check out all my course's, listed in the OP of my "friendBOMBER's course catalog" thread in TGC2019 completed courses:

I published The Reversible Course - Routings A & B last night.   It is based off the idea of a course that can be played via 2 different routings.  It uses the same greens but each routing has their own tee boxes.

Feel free to post your course in my Beat the Designer (Xbox Version) thread.  I will play a Stableford match against your best ghost and I will stream it on Twitch and then upload to Youtube.  Hopefully that can also gain some plays for your course.   http://www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=8726.0
My latest courses:

Golf Club at Hunter Meadows

Heya. Pretty much a newb posting to the forums, but I've been reading it for months.
I love the idea of this thread. I feel like (and could be totally wrong  :-* ) some of my creations are pretty good, but they don't get any play outside of the couple of friends I have that have and play the game.

I'm up to 21 courses; probably only 1/2 might be considered to be above the average offering. There's some learning curve evident in the evolution of my designs. Or, sometimes I just want to throw together a quick one to try out an idea.  My latest, Links on Lake Pleasant, was a challenge to build a course in 90 minutes.

The others that I'd like to have some play on, and feedback as well, are (in no order of favoritism):

The Happiest Place
Meadow Lakes CC
Toad Hollar II
Birdies @ 15,000 ft.
Rolling Meadows
Stoney Brook Creek

Some are testy, with quick greens, and require some creative shot-making. I don't know if that makes for a bad course, as they are out there in the real world, but with a couple practice rounds on them, you can score low. And there are a couple where the wind really affects play. It can turn from bomb and gouge to a shot-maker's delight in a hurry.

I intend to be more active on the forum. I play at least a round per day if I can and have been known to be online for a few hours at a time.

Thanks,
t0ad

Thanks for sharing Toad and Brandon, and welcome.   I'll try to play at least some of the courses you've designed and provide some feedback.  If you'd like, place you gamertag in the signature of your profile, I like to play against the designers at times.  Enjoy the forum.

Hey Guys! I have a naming course question/dilemma. So my Sleepy Willow CC course has 3 versions with bad greens, before I knew how to adjust firmness. They are called Sleepy Willow CC, Sleepy Willow CC(Members) and Sleepy Willow Country Club. Don't ask me why, I thought each time i was fixing the greens. Any way I finally figured it out and Sleepy Willow CC(Championship) was published, by the way this is played from the fifth set of tee boxes. Now I need to make the regular version from the fourth set of tee boxes with good green speeds and firmness. What do I call it?
