adding more game styles to multiplayer?  Such as Alternate shot, Skins, Four-Ball all played with online friends?  Is this something in the near future, 6 months or can HB tell us yet?  I know this game has been out for a bit, however I just bought it a week or so ago.  I must say we have had a blast.  Even the Putt Putt Courses and Pitch & Putts.

I would also like to inquire about a fast forward button, just to speed up the process a little more.  Is this something that is in the talks or could it be?

Thanks!

I was just replying to another topic about this very thing..    HBS,  has not gave us a time table on when game modes that modern video golfers expect to be in the game will arrive,  but I'm hopeful they will see this a major priority sooner than later.      This is where Perfect Golf shines and is stealing some of HBS's following unfortunately.   I was just talking to Golfvader last night and him and a bunch of guys now only play Perfect Golf,  and the biggest reason they do is because of the game modes and social aspect...    I guess I don't get why this is something that is taking so long to be put into the game....     I know that HBS never intended for this game to have all of those modes,  but what I hope they're seeing that the game is TOO damn good to not have these modes..

Having said that,  I'm a huge fan of the golf club and in my eyes it's the best game I've ever played..

Hey KY -

All I know right know is that it will not be in the March or Early May update.  Once we have those completed, we will begin prioritizing and scheduling our work beyond that.  When we have more info we will definitely share it here, and everywhere :)

Johneric8- I couldn't agree more.  The only reason I get on every night is for the social aspect.  It doesn't really matter what we are playing, it's the social part with guys that I've been gaming with for 10 plus years.

LorinB-Thanks for the reply.  I really hope this gets added to the top of the list.  The game is great like Johneric8 said, and some of the courses people have created are amazing.  However these game modes need to be here to fully enjoy the social part of this game, which is why we all get online anyway!

sooner or later, there is going to have to be a lobby for multiplayer or else the game could go stale real quick.

No doubt snake...   I really truly 100% believe that in the end,  HBS will find that having the lobby and game modes so low on their radar is going to be what loses most of their players.   I've already seen a TON,  I mean a TON of  TGC die hards migrate 100% over to perfect golf for the lobby feature and game modes...   It's actually quite sad really,  because they are friends of mine,  but I can't stand the looks of perfect golf so there is no chance of me purchasing that game..   I've been lovingly bringing this up for a long time now to HBS,  but it seems their hands are tied in regards to money for the proper addition of these things...   Plus,   they have data that mere mortals like us has access to that shows very limited interest in online multiplayer,  but between you and me I believe this data to be very different to what I perceive and things are changing by the day.

I'm still enjoying the game and looking forward to anything new from it,  but I would be lying if I didn't say I was very sad that this game is so behind in regards to it's social aspect.   It literally takes the server forever to update important info and finding a game is not easy.       I have faith in HBS,  and I know that behind closed doors they know they have got to get this done,  and I have to believe they will find a way to make it happen.

The greatest thing about all of this whole experience is feeling like you have a say so in the whole thing...    It's quite refreshing really..

Couldn't agree more, several of my friends that I play with online have already said if we don't get different play modes they were gone once PGA Tour is released in June.  This game has so much going for it, and the ability to create your own courses, putt putt or chip shot courses makes it that much more enjoyable.  However with that said the social aspect is why my crew gets on.  Again we have played together since the first SOCOM on PS, 10 plus years.  It's this social, online family to why I even turn my system on at night.  I hope HB can realize this and add these game modes and lobby system that everyone uses before it's to late and they do lose several customers to another game.

I knew it came out in June but to me it's to arcade feeling.  I think HB has really captured something good here, and with the course designer.  I just hope they come to adding more multiplayer game modes.

I don't think HB is going that way anytime soon.  I think they want to be different & also have spoke about the cost alot too.

The last Tw game had an enjoyable Sim mode... there were just lack of follow up issues with EA (shocking!)
I agree this one looks to be focusing on an arcade game based on golf but I do think 1 of their "3 unique swings" will be centered around a very difficult mode (Tw14 Sim 2.0).
