I think blind shots will be welcomed in this contest Taste, look at the history of courses used in the real US Open, it has been riddled with with blind/semi blind shots over the years.

good stuff joe, i hope so.

hole 10 update, getting it off the ground:

lots of work left to do here, rough edging, some bunker work on the left side to match the right sides quality, bunker work near the green complex, etc etc

will update later this week.

I've been banned from tgctours forum, so I likely stand no chance in this contest.

You have nothing on me, I not sure there is a judge I have not ticked off, if there is perhaps they can name themselves and I'll rectify that.  ;D

You got banned, I do not believe it, I thought I held the record there for deleted posts and they still have not banned me.

its only a 72 hour ban....but...still pee'd off somebody purdy badly i guess. it is what it is.

back to hole 10,  i have done the edging, reworked the left fairway bunker, and i just cant seem to match what i did with the right side bunker...its killing me.

nevertheless, i worked the green area out, except for the frontside bunker, waiting on my new toys to finish that part.

but overall, this hole looks great.

before the photos, lets talk about hole 10 (reverse camber) as i have not spoken a word on it yet:

450ish yard par 4.  HARD dogleg left to right off the tip tee box, not as hard from the shorter ones, the shorter the box, the less the leg.
from the tips, you can use any club from 5 iron to driver, its all about control here.  miss to the left, and you are either looking up at some trees or buried in a bunker.  miss to the right, and you have the same fate. the fairway is generous in width, so hit with confidence.  the further you can fade that puppy down the fairway the better off you are at getting a GIR.

Do be warned, hit it too far to the left on the fairway, and you will have a tree trying to play pattycake with you,  you just faded a shot, now you must draw one to the green,....from a fade lie.  the key here is to stay center or center left off the box, this will give you the best view to the green.

This hole, hits uphill off the box, and then back downhill on approach.

onto the photos:

Yes I meant the edges of the surface brushes.

Of course it was a joke. it's looking great so far.

That is completely untrue.  You still have as good as shot as anyone.

i want to believe you, but its hard, not because this is coming from you, but the general principle.

anyways,  a crack at hole 17, the first par 3 on the back nine, ....to be constructed (it will end up being the 3rd of the back nine, and 5th overall par 3)
